Phachara Suites Sukhumvit

Hotel is nicely appointed and the hotel staff was OK. Tried to bill us for the included breakfast and they didn't bring fresh towels etc. Hotel is close to night spots, but the apartment it self is quiet. We had lots of fun hanging and exploring the city.

I booked this hotel stay and it was by far the most expensive compared to the one I booked earlier it was a total of 115USD difference. The hotel didnt provide daily breakfast nor did it have any wi-fi in the room, no lan cable for internet that is just totally inconvenient.

When I booked in I was charged 2000BAHT 'security' deposit. When I checked out they claimed to have refunded this but having checked my card statement they had not. I wrote to them and asked for the refund and they said it would take 14 days to investigate. Since then they do not respond to my emails. The whole of the road outside was dug up and many taxis refused to drive down there leaving passengers to struggle with their luggage - in the rain! Never again!

I normally target the $40 to $50/night range in Bangkok but decided to step it up a notch. I'd learned of this hotel based on strong recommendations - big rooms being with nice balconies being the big draw. On arrival, the facility is very attractive but very focused on function. There is no sitting area in the lobby. It has a sterile feel. The staff was efficient but not warm. On arrival in the room I was a bit underwhelmed. There was a stale smell in the room and I could not get the TV to work. I asked for help at the desk and the rep I spoke with responded without apology, seemed almost a bit put off. Again, not a lot of personality. However, when I returned to the room - the room smell was truly fresh and the TV was fixed. So ... very responsive. I just wish they had more customer service in terms of personality. For the price I paid, I would have expected better. This is a very nice place for family, or situation where you want to have two bedrooms for the price of one. The rooms are that big! For my purposes, I would likely stick to the mid-end, $40/night, room in the future. I just need a clean room, close to Sukhumvit/Sky Train with strong Internet.

Reception attitude was not very friendly when we made further clarification on the B$2,000 credit card verification deposit. Late check-out was only granted after much negotiation even though we can see that the apartment was not fully occupied as it was a weekday.

it is in walking distance to some real serious night life!

Close to many bars and nightlife. The room we stayed in had a washer and dryer. There are two computers in the lobby you can use for free. We would go back if we are in Bangkok again.

Although difficult to find initially the location was convenient to BTS transport. Room was spacious and comfortable.

My arrival in Bangkok was scheduled for 11:40 PM and was one hour late. I had arranged for the hotel to pick me up at the airport. Without checking the arrival schedule they went at 11:40 PM and of course my flight had not arrived yet. There was no one there when my flight finally arrived at 1:10 in the morning. Other than that glitch, I would stay there anytime. Great hotel and great people. On departing Bangkok for Pattaya the next day they went out of their way to secure me a taxi that knew where I was going. Love the place!!!

This suited me perfectly. Had an Executive Studio serviced apartment with a balcony that got the sun in the afternoon. Well equipped with high quality fittings and furnishings. Excellent Siemens washing machine, iron, ironing board meant no waiting for laundry. Decent Internet connection 1,200 baht per week for work. Fully equipped kitchen. Everything new and clean. Bath and separate stand up shower. Could not have asked for more.
