Conveniently situated right next to Bumrungrad Hospital. Southeast Asia's largest medical center providing utmost convenience to Guest visiting for purpose of medical treatment with it's private passageway to the hospital. Skyy hotel will bring a new level of accommodation experience in the medical tourism market in Bangkok with it's, all-suites-rooms, floor to ceiling glass windows. 42" Plasma TV, high definition multi-media input, executive suite with IPOD docks station and surround speaker system. REMARKS: Transportation is available on requests for additional transfer - extra charge. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: All room charge will be charge to auto generated credit card of orbitz upon guest check-out. All extra charge will be paid direct to the hotel. Hotel also provides the facility of dry cleaning, lobby and reception.

look elsewhere unless going to Hospital

Beautiful room and building. Poor sign, very hard too find. Enter lobby through basement?? Seriously try to find lobby after long trip, is on second floor?? Enter hotel with tiny little sign through carpark, with out sign??? No computers for guests, poorest, worst hotel in Asia have computer for guest . 20 minute walk through heavy traffic to find internet cafe!!. Way at end of street, so taxi is hard to find. Laundry price is robbery, 1 pair of pants is 80 baht, almost $3 US, you want back 1 day 100% premium!, over $5 US!!!! Buy new clothes or use laundry down street!! I seldom write reviews but very unhappy with this choice! JIm

Especially great for Bumrungrad guests!

We stayed at Skyy because of its proximity to the hospital while we had medical work done. It was a very comfortable, very pleasant experience and beyond what either of us expected by way of value. Location couldn't have been better for someone frequently visiting the hospital. Our rooms were very clean, very modern (which we loved as tech savvy people). Staff was helpful. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Internet wasn't top speed, but it was still fast and reliable. Overall, if we visit BKK again, we would likely return to Skyy

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If you're going to grab a taxi or a tuk tuk, your best bet is to walk to the main road, rather than grabbing one outside the hotel. You have more options and can typically find one who understands 'no shopping' a little better.

Especially great for Bumrungrad guests!

First of all, the hotel's location next to Bumrungrad makes it absolutely wonderful for anyone who is visiting for medical reasons. I can't say how nice it was to fall into a comfortable bed only minutes from seeing doctors - without having to worry about taxis or tuk tuks to get me back. The rooms are very smart and modern, fitted with plenty of amenities that tech-savvy people need/want. Free internet wasn't the highest speed, but it was good and reliable. We arrived back everyday with our room attended to as though it was our first day checking in. Although we had a few problems with the rattling of our air vent and bathroom drain, after calling the desk these were tended to quickly. And of course all of it was with the friendly and pleasant Thai hospitality. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Further, the hotel was gracious to let us store our things between check-in/check-out times and our flights, allowing us for opportunities to sight see without hauling our luggage. The hotel is fairly far from some of the major destinations - such as the floating market, Wat Arun, Palace, Kao San Road, etc. - and we did find ourselves racking up fares to get there and back everyday. But then again, our purpose was mainly the hospital, so proximity to that was most important to us, and we were definitely not disappointed. Overall, this hotel was a wonderful experience and great value for the price!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There are plenty of street vendors and small 'hole in the wall' Thai restaurants along the roads leading to the hotel. They are cheap and delicious and there is something for everyone! If you want something a little more substantial, it is about a ten minute walk to the main road, but there is a wide variety of restaurants along the avenue there.
