Tawana Bangkok Hotel (The)

Great, the improvements they have made to the pool area was very relaxing & welcoming.

The Tawana is a solid 4 star hotel. The staff speaks better English than other hotels I've been to and they are also rather helpful in most all regards. The hotel is nicely located if you like the Pat Pong area of Bangkok. This hotel charges an arm and a leg for laundry services. While in Chaing Mai, Thailand I could get over 2 pounds of laundry cleaned for 30 baht ($1), but this hotel will soak you 140 baht ($5) for one pair of pants. In many cases you could throw away your clothes and buy new stuff for less. Ridiculous. Also this hotel will charge additional fees for ANY female guest you bring to your room after 6pm of 940 baht ($37) for the visit even if your reservation was for two people (if your guest is not your registered roommate). So depending on your status and intent this could be a great hotel to stay at, but if you plan on bringing company back to your room you are better off elsewhere.

I stayed at this hotel two times during my trip to Asia. The first time I stayed there were stray hairs in the tub as well as on the towels I was expected to use. During the second stay, the bathroom was covered in flys and no matter how many I killed there seemed to be more in the tub, on the walls, and on the towels. The ac also did not seem to work and the room was really warm, which sucked in the high humidty of Thailand. Although, the rooms looked really nice the looks were very deciving.

Nothing wrong with the place, but it's a 3 star hotel labelled 5 stars. Someone was labelled it wrong! Toilet is old, shower curtain is dirty plastic, no fire sprinklers and windows are screwed shut (beware!), toiletries lacking, room decor very dated, carpet tack strip coming through carpet (stabbed my toe on carpet tack strip). Again, it's just a mediocre 3 star hotel, in a reasonable location.

We took a vacation with my husband. The hotel was great but the beds are too small for the double rooms. The restroom are too small too. The buffet is too pricy I do recommend this hotel and recommend it to my friends and family. The hotel is well know. "Tawana"is very easy to pronounce and taxi drivers will understand

I had a hard time falling asleep because the walls were thin. I could hear people walking down the hall and doors opening and closing. The internet in the lobby is not free, they charge 70 baht per hour. They provide Bangkok Post for free. You can walk to the Metro but not to BTS.

One of the most affordable hotel in Silom area with fantastic customer services. Great Location with easy access to Patpong and BTS Saladaeng. Highly recommended for couple and family.

The hotel location is convenient near by Patpoon but still around 5-10 min walk to Sala Dang BTS. The room is clean but still old just like the whole hotel in lobby, their restaurant etc. With such hotel room rate I booked, it is still good enough for me to stay.

Only location is perfect...so..... lots of other hotels at this area...where you feel really like welcome guest
