Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel and Resort

Lets start with the good. Great location. Sky train walking distance, Central World walking distance, and great bars on the street. The bad! Room was infested with roaches and the sheets and towels not clean, I don't mean dingy, stained sheets (who knows what) but I did get blood stained sheets more then once. I have stayed at cheaper hotels in Bangkok that are much cleaner. Talked to people staying in the area and they recommended cheaper places without roaches. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Normally I don't write reviews, but this time I felt compelled. Lets start with the good. Great location! Sky train is a short walk, as well as Central World. Great bars on the street. Now the bad. The service leaves much to be desired. They are only courteous if you are buying extras otherwise short and unhelpful. But the worst part is the cleanliness or I should say lack of cleanliness. The rooms are infested with cockroaches and the bed sheets and towels are always stained. I don't mean a little dingy, I mean huge stains, even blood. I have stayed in cheaper hotels in Bangkok, that are much cleaner. Cheers!

Really old and dilapidated rooms. Online pictures are misleading, rooms are tiny, old, moldy, poorly kept. The "free breakfast" was terrible. Cleanliness is a joke, there was a bug on one of the plates. The server walks by and see's the bug, squishes it onto the plate and sweeps the remains off, then leaves the plate there for the next customer to use. The on-site restaurant is one of the worst I've eaten in Thailand. They even messed up spaghetti bolognese. Tuk-tuk drivers only leave every hour, so you have to WAIT until the hour before you can use the "free tuk tuk service," which is EXTREMELY USELESS. Stayed at this hotel because it was around fifty US buckaroos and it was billed as "being close to nightlife and mass transit system." IT IS NOT, takes at least a 15 minute walk to the BTS station, which is NOT comfortable in the heat of Bangkok. So inevitably one has to decide whether to walk in the sweltering heat, wait until the end of the hour and take the "free tuk tuk," or just pay a cab! There are CHEAPER places in Bangkok if you want to SAVE SOME MONEY, and MUCH BETTER places if you want to ENJOY YOURSELF (for only ten or twenty bucks more). So please do yourself a favor and find another hotel. I seriously cannot think of any good reason to stay here other than ignorance (which was my failure).

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the skytrain and is in the entertainment,shopping and Embassy district of sukimvit. Not the place for children being that it has wild lady bars and nightlife. The area is very safe being that Thailand has a low crime rate compared to any major city in America. The hotel is in a quiet area a few minutes walk from the wild stuff.Many fine restaurants in the area and numerous parks and malls. The hotel is clean with a nice free breakfast buffet and a rooftop pool and bar with magnificent views of the city. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

I wish the siming pool is bigger. otherwise, everything was good.

The hotel was excellent in cleaniness and location (near Skyrail). Be aware that using the hotel taxi service really is a private car service and more pricey than the taxis outside the hotel. I recommend that you get a price from the hotel taxi and then go outside and bargain a cheaper price. We saved money that way. Definitely recommend hotel.

Great location, yet relatively peaceful. The room was clean and adequate, TV had good selection of channels, AC, shower, hot-water all worked. Descent selection for buffet breakfast. Will stay here again..

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and always have found it to be great value. The staff are cheerful and helpful, food is good and reasoanable priced. Rooms are clean and tidy. I shall book a stay there again in the near future.

Visited the hotel for 1 ½ years ago, and since the standard was quite good. Now it is below average. There was not clean and the service was below average. Good location, price, however high side. Will choose another hotel next time. Breakfast was incl. in price, and was from the buffer and quite good.

For the price, it was what one would expect, but nothing more. They claim a "no smoking" policy, but the first room I was in seemed like a cigar convention stayed there. I asked about the "no smoking" policy, and I just received blank stares. I think all of the rooms are smoking available. I moved to another room with no problem by the staff. There is a Tuk-Tuk to take you towards the main road and the sky train, which you can actually walk in about ten or fifteen minutes. I did walk, since the Tuk-Tuk was "out of service". Overall, it is OK for the price, especially if the buffet breakfast is included.
