Great Stay with Great Service
We just returned from a two week trip to Bangkok-Chiang Mai- Phuket, and Ayatana definitely stands out as a great place to stay. We stayed there for 3 days. The service was amazing. We arrived at Chiang Mai at 5 in the morning and we were welcomed to a free upgraded room at that time. We were surprised daily with fruit and candy left in our room during the day. It's not located in the center of town but its only about a 10 min taxi ride to the center of town. Overall, it was a great place with a wonderful staff, great ambiance,and very relaxing. Wish we could go back.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Please don't support elephant cruelty by taking elephant rides/ or watching shows that feature these animals. For these elephants to be involved in tourist activities, most if not all of them must first endure immense torture that aims to "break their spirit". Instead we would suggest going to the Elephant Nature Park which is a sanctuary/elephant rescue.
