cheap hotel close to the train station
We stayed at this hotel because our train from Surat Thani got in quite late at 1am, and it was a 10 minute walk from the station. The hotel was a decent 2.5 star hotel with a reasonable breakfast (eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, bread, tea/coffee juice) and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel room was also fine and was cleaned when asked. We were able to walk to the night markets in about 10-15 minutes and the same to the harbour. It's also the same distance to Market Village, the big shopping center nearby.

Super Traveler
Acceptable budget hotel, with a few issu
This is a basic budget hotel that might suit your needs. It offers free internet, large clean rooms with a big fridge, a very modest breakfast, and a free shuttle to the beach twice a day. The location is OK, since it's on the songtao line and is within a comfortable walking distance of the night market. We probably wouldn't stay here again (unless we got a great price), however, because there were too many annoyances: (a) bed was uncomfortable, (b) elevator doors tried to crush us several times, until fear drove us to develop coping strategies, (c) the internet went in and out several times during our stay (out about 10% of the time), (d) the shower went from too hot to too cold (rarely at a comfortable temperature). I'd add that if you're looking for a beach, there are MUCH better options in Thailand.

The green songtao bus, which passes close to the hotel, takes you north to the night market (and mini-bus depot) and south to the shopping mall. It's only 10 baht.

The room was nice but the breakfast
The room was nice but the breakfast buffet looks and tastes like in a 1-star guesthouse. better to go out to have food. the internet is very slow but they speak about highspeed internet. I will choose another hotel next time and can not recommend it.

na de eerste nacht een overboeking in een andere app: geslapen te hebben kregen wij een groote kamer in het hooft gebouw ontbijd was goed pers:vriendelijk groot balcon alles was daar na goed zij wisten niet wat ze doen moesten om onze vacantie zo goed mogelijk te doen slagen pendel bus naar het stand was 8 min lopen dus hoefde niet voor ons maar was er wel ben met jan 2011 hier geweest ga er weer heen en hoop niet meer op een overboeking

hier ga ik weer naar toe
het is een goed hotel personeel vriendelijk m ontbijt goed dicht bij het centrum en nachtmark en het en strant ,uitgaansleven een topper ga er weer heen handdoeken voor het strand klijn zwembad maar knus op het dak van het hotel

propre,en centre ville et à 2
propre,en centre ville et à 2 pas de la plage, chambre spacieuse,pt dej. convenable,gardien de nuit ,piscine pas olympique mais propre et sympa avc la vue du toit, l hotel a contribue a faire de bonnes vacances a hua hin!
