Hansar Samui Resort and Spa

great location, great facilities, friendly staff. breakfast a bit disappointing especially the use of non fresh juices...but shouldnt be a reason not to come back..

My wife and I stayed in the standard room which was a decent size and had a large rain shower. There was also a large seating area on the balcony. Breakfast was quite varied with fresh fruit and juices, cold meats and hot Thai food. You could also order eggs however you fancied as well as pancakes and waffles. The pool was a decent size with enough loungers around it and some more on the beach. The beach bar has 2 happy hours, 13.30-14.30 & 18.00-19.00. There is a third happy hour 21.30-22.30 in the bar above the restaurant (however wine is not included in any of them). You can order snacks and lunch there as well. The sandwiches were great but quite expensive at about £8. We had dinner there once which was amazing but quite expensive. Particularly as Fisherman’s village is a 5 minute walk along the beach or the concrete road/path with many restaurants and bars there. There is a night market every Friday from 17.30. There is street food and drinks as well as clothing, electricals & souvenirs. Free WIFI is provided throughout the hotel, it’s even available by the pool. There are also 2 iMacs in the library area. My wife abd I used the spa and it was excellent. The price was similar to that in the UK. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our 12 night stay there.

Terrific hotel with beautiful views of the water. Great location right next to Fisherman's Village so lots of dining options closeby. The pool is top notch and the beach is only about 100 yards away. Service is outstanding, though the staff's English skills do vary. The breakfast is very good, even if the selection is on the limited side. Overall, we were very pleased with the Hansar and would recommend it to others!

Went there for only 2 nights and stayed for only 1. Our room was dusty and there were no towels placed for us. The staff was in general nice and friendly, however when I wanted an early checkout (to move to a different hotel) they offered me a ride with the hotel truck for 500 baht. I said no thank you because it wasnt worth it and I could go outside and bargain with a taxi myself. Then the guy at the front desk tries to bargain with me saying "okay how about 300 baht?" Really...? I really felt like the hotel was trying to get every penny out of me. Very bad feeling. The location is great for older couples or families I guess since there's a pool and then the beach but no night life and no walking anywhere except to Family Mart. This is what really made us move towards Chaweng. The area was completed dead by 9 pm. Nothing to do. In all the design of the hotel is awesome but the rest is not up to par with the price. It wasnt worth it to me so I just canceled. Good luck!

Amazing location within walking distance of the Fisherman's village. Stunning swimming pool and very friendly staff.

We spent 5 nights at Hansar, and were not disappointed. It's one of the newest resorts in Bo Phut, and it is simply spectacular. The pool is better than any we've seen around the whole island (which was many!), and the location is excellent, being right on one end of the main beach street (but it's completely quiet at night). The room was fantastic, with a 4-poster bed and huge free-standing bath on a bed of rocks. Service was great, and the breakfast spread was excellent. All up we couldn't fault any part of our stay with Hansar Samui.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Hansar Samui Resort and Spa war sehr erholsam. Die Zimmer haben alle Meerblick und sind zudem äusserst geräumig. Toll ist das Badezimmer mit der riesigen Dusche. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war super. Der Strand war leider eher klein und etwas lärmig, weil zwischen dem Hotel und dem Strand eine kleine, gelegentlich befahrene Strasse ist. Das Meerwasser war leider sehr schmutzig, was vermutlich mit den zahlreichen Wassersportgeräten, die neben dem Hotel gemietet werden können, zusammenhängt. Des Weiteren gibt es am Strand viele Verkäufer, die mehrmals pro Tag mit irgendwelchen Verkaufsgegenständen vorbeilaufen, was die Ruhe etwas stört. Das Essen im hoteleigenen Restaurant war gut, aber teilweise sehr teuer.
