Horizon Patong Beach Resort

Stayed here three nights. The amenities in the room were a little older and not nearly as nice as in other hotels around the same price point in Bangkok and elsewhere in Thailand I stayed in. The staff were ok, but did not do those little things that make life easier for travelers in my opinion. For example I had repeatedly asked them to make sure they had my bill prepared for checkout on my last day because I was going to be cutting it really close with a day trip I was making that day, but they still did not and I had to make a bunch of people wait. Also they add a bunch of extra charges for things you don't expect. For instance they charged me about a 1000 baht (yes, 3 zeros) for a few (under 10) local calls. The location is nice, it is right on Patong beach almost, although I did not spend much time there since there are nicer beaches. Also the hotel pool looked nice, but I did not use it. I did not like the bed and the shower seemed somewhat badly designed.

The location of the hotel is great, just few minutes walk to the beach. The pictures that are posted on the internet do not reflect the reality, though. The rooms are not clean enough and there are some old stuff that must be fixed too, like the balcony amenities, the bathroom needs also some paint each and there and so on. We have stayed here for eight nights and during the last two nights we have had a mouse in our kitchenette. We have called the front office but they just didn't do anything, not even moved us in another room. You could hear the little animal scratching and digging under the sink... That's horrible... Just to know that you live in the same room with a mouse! And we have a little baby also... Some possitive stuff now, the breakfast is very good and served each day from 6.30 to 10.30 am, but the staff kind of make ugly faces if you would like to serv it in your room, even if you have payed for it. The cleaning ladies would come faster to clean your room only if you tip them. Be carefull, there are ants all over, on the balcony, in the kitchen and in the bathroom; make sure you ask the front desk for some ants spray and spray carefully especially if you have a baby. Our baby got bitten all over her body by these little ants. Overall, the hotel is ok, the price is very good and the location as well, but it needs improvement

I thought the staff was very accomodating and very friendly. The hotel was in a great location and the price was reasonable. Good value for the price.

The hotel has a very comfortable and inviting atmospere with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and even thought the location was just off of the noisy main drive of Patong it was very quiet within the hotel grounds. Nice breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends.

The hotel is not on the beach...few are You are not in view of the beach. About 125 paces to the water's edge. Rooms are functional--nothing fancy. The hotel is well-run with good staff. Patong beach is a 30 minute cab ride from the airport.

The charge of bringing back a guest is totally inapportiate and is just another way for the resort to take more money from the customer. This should be ended and will be the reason that I will not be staying there again.

Hotelzimmer gross und sauber. Perfekte Lage zum Beach. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Leider wissen sich die Gäste manchmal nicht zu benehmen (Riesenlärm und dauernd Türenzuschlagen bis morgens um vier Uhr), was sehr schade ist.

Hotllli on hyvällä paikalla aivan rannan tuntumassa. Meillä parveke/ikkunanäkymät rauhalliselle sisäpihalle. Miinuksena uudenvuodenpäivällinen, joka piti sisältyä hintaan, mutta ei kuitenkaan sisältynyt ?? Hinta erikseen ostettuna olisi ollut 4000 bath/hlö ( n.100e), joten menimme muualle illastamaan.
