Movenpick Resort

That is the best hotel that i even stay in Phuket, will go back there again the next time.

My wife & I stayed here for a week. Wow what a resort. Everything about it was perfect with absolutely no complaints

Outstanding attention to detail. Service was exemplary, a definite return visit! Tried all restaurants at the property and the quality and service was perfect.

Paid for Garden View but got upgraded to Ocean View Deluxe Room as stated in the reservation. Nice room but the bath tub is on the small side with no standing shower. Will not recommend that room for people with problem climbing into and out of the bath tub which is around 2.5ft high. Facilities in the hotel is great with 3 swimming pools and it is right by the beach(approx. 5min stroll from the main lobby).

We stayed here for 7 nights. Check in was easy and we were welcomed with a fruit drink, cool lemongrass scented towels and flower bracelets. We also had a wonderful fruit basket in the room which was great as I tried many fruits I had never seen before in the United States. I have yet to look them up to see what they were. Our room was a garden villa and was located on the back side near the beach exit. The room(406) was nice with plenty of closet space, a safe, a mini fridge and a wonderful bathroom. The outside shower was especially refreshing. Maid service seemed to be done promptly when we put the service sign on the door, for us this was often late afternoon. They also did a turndown service with the ice bucket refilled and flowers on the pillows. The gym was nice and we used this several times. Water and towels were provided. Out the back gate the security guy was helpful with getting you a Taxi or a Tuk Tuk and always had a friendly salute when you came or went. It is much quicker to get to the town out the back side rather than the front! The breakfast was adequate with a big variety. We are not big buffet people so only went a few times. The restaurants on site were good. We had pizza several times, the Sandbar has a pizza oven and produced pizzas with great flaky,crunchy crust. The ham sandwich with grilled onions was also very good. At the steakhouse/Asian restaurant the green papaya salad and mango and sticky rice were standouts. There were lots of nice little touches like girls playing music in the lobby and a mini band at night by the restaurants. One of the things we thought could be better was the travel desk, books sitting out were not in English and you could get a better variety and better prices on the street. Another thing we were disappointed in was that we could not get a checkout time later than 1:00. We checked out and then ate lunch and sat around for several hours before taking a taxi to the airport. We informed the bell man at 1:00 that we would need a taxi to the airport at 3:30. When 3:30 rolled around they called one when were inquired again but they told us the trip to the airport would be 1300 baht. This was more than double what we paid to get from the airport to the hotel! When we complained they said we hadn't arranged a taxi ahead of time! At this point we were stuck and had to pay but please make sure you arrange ahead of time AND they write it down! Overall we would definitely return. The workers here a very friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs.

very nice hotel.....clean, good service, nice swimming pool and good location on Karon beach, only takes 5 mins to get the beach
