The Bliss South Beach Patong Hotel

Everyone was great the only problum was and this is big ror me is the bed SUCKED!! I travel up to 42 weeks a year and this was the worst bed I have ever slept in. It hab no give it was like sleeping on the floor. I could not get a good rest and that is what I went for. I said something to the staff and they told me that they get that complant all the time. That it is not ther falt but the owner will not chang them. For this reasion I would not go back.

(Please read the whole review, as it goes from bad to much better) I had booked this through [...]based on reviews, price and pictures. ***The pictures are misleading***. All the pictures you see are of the suites located in the NEW wing of the hotel. The Superior and Deluxe rooms are located on the old wing. After arriving to the hotel - a good 45 minutes from the airport in Phuket - my girlfriend and I were incredibly disappointed with the room. It was VERY small, the furnishings old and flimsy. The bed was hard as a rock and the balcony was tiny. The bathroom looked to be completely plastic with a small-ish tub/shower. The pool in the front of the hotel is small as well and unremarkable. We immediately went down to reception and asked for a different room. They tried to give us one on the 4th floor (better view) but I asked whether it was any bigger and was told it was not. I told them that the pictures of the hotel are misleading and was told that the hotel isn't responsible for what pictures are posted on [...]. I had a good mind to demand a refund and leave!!At this point, I was offered - for an additional 2000 Bhat a night (we were staying 5 nights so a total of about USD 340) - a suite in the "new" wing. I asked to see the room and was ABSOLUTELY blown away! The suite is HUGE (akin to a 1 bedroom apartment) with completely modern furniture. The living area has a couch, coffee table and flat panel TV with tiled floors. Just off the entryway is a very nice and large desk (something I'd needed as I had work to do during my holiday - also the free hotel WIFI is great). There was a small-ish kitchen tucked away in a corner with a refrigerator, sink, coffee maker and cupboard. No stove or microwave, but this is a hotel. Through the living area is the bedroom. THIS is what's pictured on [...]. It was AMAZING. Huge bedroom with king bed (still very hard mattress though), a dresser and vanity mirror, and another flat panel TV across from the bed. Immediately to the left an ample his/her closet (you have to ask for more clothe hangers) and the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom is AMAZING. Very modern style with toilet, a stand-in shower that is all glass and looks to the street outside!! (A portion of the glass isn't see-through so no one stares at you from outside). There is a bench and rain-shower included. One downside was an eye-sore in the form of a urinal, but, as a man, I found it somewhat convenient. Straight out of the bedroom is the deck with 2 sunchairs and a table. We stayed on the first floor and sacrificed a nice view for our very own jacuzzi/pool! THIS is what we envisioned this hotel to be! There's also a second pool on the second floor (!!) that is much better than the one out front. It's not deep or wide but very long and a nice place to swim, read a book in peace, etc. when you don't feel like going to the beach which is just across the street.We took the suite for the extra money, which was absolutely worth it. After everything was sorted out, the hotel staff were very pleasant and always helpful with anything and everything we needed. We even got a free cheese cake because they thought we were honeymooners! As I had booked the room with breakfast included, we were able to have breakfast every day. Can't say it was excellent, but it was good enough. There's a selection of fruit, cereal, juice, french toast, pancakes, breads, sausages, ham, beans, rice, chicken, noodles and eggs made to order including omlette should you want one. The staff is pleasant and will bring you coffee.If you're booking this hotel, make sure to get a suite as it is definitely worth it. If you truly don't care about accommodation, then go with a deluxe or superior room for the value. The hotel is situated toward the end of the shopping area of Patong Beach but everything is within walking distance. will definitely stay here again. one of the best locations in patong quiet but walking distance to anythig u might need and all the staff are so nice

stayed for 4 days,not a problem whatsoever,very clean,friendly and helpful staffs,stone throw away from beach,no breach of privacy from staffs or guests,my wife and i enjoyed our stay very much,will be back.

The overall stay at The Bliss South Beach Hotel experience was horrible. We change hotel immediately after the first stay. The room was old and rundown and there were many cockroaches. The balcony door can't be locked and we feel very unsafe at that hotel.

The Bliss Hotel was really good for honeymooners and the people who wants to relax.very nice seaview,though we didn't get any appreciation as we honeymooners,but that suite with the jacuzzi was nice. the breakfast is not good at all,we booked with breakfast but we did ate only 2 times as my husband had vomitted

The hotel location is good! Right smack at Patong Beach. Just a right turn out from our hotel and straight down the road you're right in the heart of Patong Beach. Where shopping, pubs,bars & food are at. Beach is directly infront of the hotel as well, hence we get a good seaview and breeze early in the morning. Initial room given to us was not so good. Floor was wet & dirty, wall where the air-con was had brown stains which made it look run down. When we requested to change to another room we were given immediate attention which the service here was good. 2nd room cleanliness was much better than the first room, but overall still average. Facilities wise, the standard things you need like hairdryer was there, flask to boil water tea cups for drinking tea and water looks old and run down too.Overall experience was not too bad. For a short stay of relaxation with a bit of resort feel, you can try this place. Service is definitely good for the price you pay.
