Solid Comfort in Istanbul

The Marmara Pera is a solid high rise hotel in a great location right of the main drag of Istiklal. The rooms are clean and relatively modern, though very small in a European sort of way. The service was kind and accommodating. Avoid lower floors so you are not bothered by the street noise and you get a good view of the city or the Bosphorous. Make sure you grab a drink at their stunning rooftop bar.

Perfect choice for Istanbul

The Swissotel is a stellar property in a location that is unbeatable. You can easily walk from the hotel to the neighborhood of Nişantaşı and other areas. The hotel staff is extremely accommodating, and the rooms are spacious, smart, and extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend getting a room with a Bosphorus view. After all, you've come all this way to Istanbul to have a garden view?! All in all, my experience at this property could not have been any more amazing.

This hotel is located in an excellent area of Istanbul for sightseing and the ease of transportation. I had heard many things about Hotels in Instanbul that wasn't favorable, but the Eresin lives up to it's reputation. It was very clean and the staff was helpful.

The service was excellent. The metro was only a 5 minute walk. There
was a lot of restaurant options near the hotel.
The only negative thing was the the pillows and bed were not that comfortable.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very quite neighborhood and at the same time close to everything,and the staff is very helpful. The size of the room was OK even though we were 3 in the room. They had pluming problems in the bathroom and the shower door was broken, they send the repair man but were not able to fix it. I was able to get free Airport transfer with my 6 nights reservation.

Good hotel but not the perfect location

The location of the hotel as described in its website says that it is 500 m from Taksim square which is totally untrue.
To go to Taksim, you have two options:
Either walk to the tunnel and take the metro for one station then you will reach the Istklal street that is 2 km away from Tksim square.
Or walk to the station named ''Shishane'' and take the metro also to Taksim station.
If you prefer to walk it is not easy because you will walk to the Tunnel then walk 1.2 KM in an incline road totally hard then reach Istiklal street and walk 2 km to Taksim.
So this is the worst point about this hotel and I have to add that the street where the hotel is located is dark at night and thus unsafe to walk !
The stuff are very nice but don't undertsand English that much.
The high floor sea view room is a nice choice where you can enjoy the view of the OLd city acccross the Golden Horn.
The breakfast is moderate (not really open buffet) , very few options compared to other hotels.

The hotel location is very good but being a 5 Star hotel i was disappointed with the room. It was a small room with a very uncomfortable bed. The Toilet and shower was that of a 3 star property and not impressive at all. I travelling all over the world and this was quite disappointing. Would not book this property again as a 5 star option.

I was on crutches due to an injury the day we arrived in Istanbul. We had to change all our plans, and wound up staying at the Point Hotel at the suggestion of the manager at the Misafir Suites, where we were staying prior. The Misafir was fully booked, and we had planned to leave Istanbul and head to Kayseri. Due to my accident, we had to find another hotel asap and wound up staying at the Point for nine days. They simply could not do enough for us. From helping me up the steps at the front, to finding us taxis, to opening up the side door for me without our asking, to the patient, tireless efforts of [...] at Guest Relations, who was on the phone with the American Hospital for an hour trying to get my results emailed to the US, to the enormous birthday cake they left in our room for my husband's birthday...I could go on and on. The service was absolutely wonderful. I didn't call it 4-star, above, because it isn't at the level of a Four Seasons or anything, but these folks know how to make a stay wonderful. Lots of little amenities in the hotel rooms, the color scheme is very relaxing and elegant, the spa is wonderful, and a stay at the Point includes access to most spa amenities including the indoor heated pool and the Turkish bath. I loved this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is a good place to stay espcially if you are looking for a quite autmosphere in a busy city.

Visiting in August, we knew that Istanbul would be extremely hot. The hotel's pool area was fabulous as was the service. One of the highlights of our stay was the Turkish bath experience at the hotel which I would recommend to any tired visitor. Clearly, this was an experience not to miss. I only wish I could return to reexfoliate.
