Terrific Hotel Near Big Sites
This is a fabulous hotel located very close to the Grand Bazzar, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, and the Blue Mosque. Great locale, and excellent hotel. Free Hamamm made it even better! Terrific buffet breakfast, with a lot of quality variety of food. Highly recommend this hotel.

Outstanding Staff
This is a very good hotel, with an unbeatable location in Istanbul close to so many of the sights. However, what makes this such a great experince is the staff, and in particular the desk man, Mehmet. Nothing was too much trouble. When it looked as if we would be late for dinner due to a taxi being late, a staff member who had just finished his shift drove us the 45 minutes to the restaurant. Mehmet could work in any of the top hotels in the world. Calmness personified. Thanks to all of them for turning a good experience into a great one.

Good hotel, good location, lovely view from roof terrace
Great value for money. Lovely roof terrace with a view of the Sultan Beyazit Mosque. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The best thing is the convenient location - a two minute walk to Beyazit tram stop, a five minute walk to the Grand Bazaar, 20 minutes to the Süleymaniye Mosque, and 20 minutes to other sites like the Blue Mosque (or you can take the tram). The room was a little on the small side but the location compensated for it.

A very good hotel for its value
Very nice staff, good location, good price! Free sauna and shopping in Aksaray is just 2 minutes walk!

Good price for good location
The hotel staff was extremely helpful, however getting anywhere by taxi in this neighborhood is impossible since the traffic is atrocious. Stick with the tram or just simply walk. The location was quite good, though, very easy to discover the Old City.

Great hotel in Istanbul!
The hotel was really good, with an excellent location. Its minutes from the Grand Bazaar and a nice stroll to the Blue Mosque and Aaya Sofia. The tram stop is just outside the hotel too, which is really handy for getting around. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was great and the view from the hotel restaurant was great. I would definatley recommend this hotel and would stay there myself again!

Excellent Location and Service
There are so many hotels in Istanbul to choose from but I wanted something which was in the heart of activity and close to the tram. I walked about the areas in Istanbul and many hotels are on very steep cobblestone streets. Barcelo Satay is perfect if you are seeing the main sites. Restaurants are abundant and easily driven to via a cab. The room was very clean, modern and tastefully appointed. The front desk staff is attentive and friendly, the Haman a nice respite and many International guests were returning for their vacation visit. Definitely a good experience and a 4 star hotel with reasonable rates.

Barcelo is directly across from the Grand Bazaar which is immense and can get overwhelming. There are numerous places along the street to find the same items at the same or slightly higher prices. Silver jewelry is more reasonable in the Bazaar.

Very friendly staff and great stay!
They let us check in early because we had our newborn daughter.Our first room had heat problems and after contacting the front desk they were very nice and switched us to a new room.They were very friendly and helpful...would stay there again.
