Great for business travel
I spent 2 weeks in this hotel and recieved great service. The staff at the breakfast buffet knew me within days and had my beverages brought immediately upon seating. They recomended great places to visit and shop. Also it is very near Taksim square and Istiklal caddesi, great shops, places to eat, and clubs at night. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Try the mussels served with rice in their shells at the street vendors on Istiklal caddesi. Also try the fried mussels.

Good Choice
We spent 2 nights at the Ceylan Intercontinental in Istanbul in December 2009 and found the comfort, luxury and service to be extremely high. The staff must have noticed from the check in details that it was my companion's birthday and how pleasantly surprised we were when room service knocked on the door with a complimentary birthday cake! An excellent choice.

The location is great. It is right off of Taksim Square. There is a large pedestrian area right near there with tons of restaurants and shops.
