Ipek Palas Hotel Istanbul

I believe, it is an excellent middle-grade hotel to stay comfortably with no noise around. More importantly it is very center and walking distance of all the historical visiting venues & shopping markets , therefore no need for internal travel expenses. We have enjoyed the hotel's items of the breakfast. The staff members are very gentle and helpful. Overall, we are all impressed and hence decided, if we consider to visit Istanbul again we shall try to avail the opportunity to stay in Ipek Palas Hotel.

Really good location for sight seeing trips and a good connection to public transport. The rooms are really small and not comfortable. Nonetheless it is fine for a short sight seeing trip to Istanbul.

Hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is ordinary to bad with vary little choice and below quality food. Room itself was clean but the bathroom has a smell which is iriitating; the shower has too steep a climb which older folks may find it difficult. Hall way is dark and motion sensors shut off too quick turning lights off. Overall, this is a below average hotel for American standards but tolerable for short stay. If one can afford, find a larger American chain.

My room was facing a construction site so it was very noisy even with the windows closed...and it was always too hot in the room.... It was a bit annoying that one of the Receptionist was always badgering me into booking tour with the hotel. He just would not give me directions to get to an attraction on public transport. Also, when I asked for a suggestion for a nice resturant, he didnt recommend any place other than the resturant in the hotel. Shower was really really small and water was not drainning well at all. It was a nightmare to take shower. Location was quite central and close to the tram station... Overall it was not good value for money at all considering I paid about 50£ per night for a very small economy room.

Arrived late after a long flight.. did not like my room was shown 5 others that each got worse... I wanted to change hotels. That was not possible. Will not go back.

very tiny small rooms very small beds , you have to ask the staff to get any thing , nothing done except if u ask for it, no space to sit in the room TV like old ages around 14 inch old model, no way to relax in the room really not recommended we ask in the area and we pay much more than we get hotels in the same area more services more clean and you will pay less,

This Hotel has two buildings. One have been updated and the other building is very old. I paid for the upgraded rooms. It was the highest grade to choose from and still got the old rooms. But you can't beat the location of the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good. The restaurant view was great but the food was not as good as the sidewalk cafe's.

The room was very well designed with day light. The staff was very very kind and helpful. Open buffet breakfast was very rich and variable everyday. Cleaning was perfect everyday and the location is only 7 minutes by walk to the main attractions. Our expectations were completely satisfied

I oreferred this hotel because one of my friend suggested. Very good location and very comfortable rooms. The lovely staff really made my stay unforgettable.Also the top floor restaurant has magnificient view of the city and bosphorus.I will never forget Ipek palas and definetely come again.

Unkind reception desk-the communication was really hard as the receptionists didn't speak english. They gave us an economy room instead of the standard and they said that the hotel was overbooked so they couldn't give us what we paid for.On their website ,it was mentioned that the breakfast was served at the terrace but unfortunately it was served on the basement. Although these deficits, the location was really good and convenient.
