Ipek Palas Hotel Istanbul

Hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is ordinary to bad with vary little choice and below quality food. Room itself was clean but the bathroom has a smell which is iriitating; the shower has too steep a climb which older folks may find it difficult. Hall way is dark and motion sensors shut off too quick turning lights off. Overall, this is a below average hotel for American standards but tolerable for short stay. If one can afford, find a larger American chain.

Arrived late after a long flight.. did not like my room was shown 5 others that each got worse... I wanted to change hotels. That was not possible. Will not go back.

Ipek Palace was a total disappointment for us - and we have travelled a lot. Hotel promissed breakfast with a wiew to Bospor - and we had our breakfast downstairs without windows. Our room - Superor, extra paid room 311 - was very small. Wallpapers was broken, tv worked only sometimes after pushing the table to get electricity work. Bathroom was stinky, there is mushrooms or some another problem. Was promissed to have bath and shower, but bath was nor possible, because was not possibility to close water. Service was rude and not trustable. After asking about WHY breakfast is not upstairs as promissed, they promissed us breakfast there - and next morning we only noticed the manager had asked to lock upstairs restaurant, so we did not get the promissed place. There was water boiling and cups in the room, but tea was two bags, After it ended - way stayed 7 nights - reeception told only unpolitely that they are not giving more. Specially service and smell of the room and corridores were from 2 star hotel. Extra blanket because of illness we got - and strange wishing: we hope to get it back, when you leave. Seems so Ipek Palace is in economical troubel and tries only economize, not to serve anyone. We feelcheated. Never back to Turkey!

Das Bestechende an diesem Hotel ist seine Lage. 10 Fußminuten zur Hagia Sophia, 10 Min. zu den Anlegeplätzen der Bosporus-Schiffe oder zum Ägyptischen Basar, 15 Min. zur Blauen Moschee oder zum Topkapi-Palast. Dazu liegt das Hotel direkt in der Ibni Kemal Cad., einer reinen Fußgängerstraße, in der sich div. ordentliche bis gute Speiselokale befinden. Keine 5 Min. entfernt ist die Straßenbahnhaltestelle "Gülhane"; von dort kommt man in ca. 40 Min. für ca. 2 € (Umsteigen "Zeytinburnu" in die Metro) zum Flughafen Atatürk. Weiterer Pluspunkt ist das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal; hervorzuheben ist hier die deutschsprechende Ruveyda. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich, ebenso das kleine Duschbad, an dem allenfalls das sehr kleine Waschbecken und die fehlenden Ablagemöglichkeiten zu kritisieren sind. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ordentlich; es gibt Brot und Toast mit Wurst, Käse und Marmeladen, Eier, auch Rührei und Bratkartoffeln, Müslizutaten, versch. Yoghurts sowie Tee u. Kaffee im Automaten und Kaltgetränke. Das Haus ist nicht hellhörig; Straßengeräusche sind aber von draußen deutlich wahrnehmbar, ebenso wie der morgentliche Ruf des Muezzins, was uns allerdings nicht gestört hat. Im Doppelbett liegt man unter einer gemeinsamen Decke.

Très déçu par cet hotel .présentation sur internet qui ne correspond pas avec la réalité . - chambre très très petite - mauvaises odeurs - salle de bains trop petite , avec petit lavabo et douche 60 x 60 indigne d' un 3 étoiles . - personnel incompétent et irresponsable - avons été accusé a tord d' avoir consommé dans le mini ,bar !! Je vous conseille de vérifier la qualité de cet hotel avant de le proposer à votre clientèle . Habitué d' ISTANBUL ou nous allons chaque année depuis plus de 10 ans , cet hotel est sans doute la plus mauvaise expérience et de loin dans cette jolie ville . cordialement
