Turkish delight overlooking Bosporus and the sea

very bad hotel
it is one of the worst hotel i have been. rooms are small. reservation is different of my expectation. the information is not valid correctly at internet. really i am very disappointed. stuff treatment is not good at all. management is not care about any customer complain.

Great location, very helpful staff.
Stayed four nights at the Marmara and really enjoyed our stay. The room is a little small, but normal for a major European city. Concierge service was really great, helping us book dinner on several nights and a cooking class. You can't beat the location for access to mass transit system and Istikal street. Very nice cafe downstairs (Kitchenette) that is better and cheaper than the hotel bar.

Short walk from hotel
Use the Metro (funicular & trams) to get around Istanbul. Cabs are cheap but traffic is always crazy and can take much longer.

Great City to explore as a couple.
Hotel is well located. You can manage to travel by metro or taxi to all the tourist attractions throughout the city. The metro station is right across the street from the hotel, and it take about 20minutes to get to the Old City (where all the monuments and mosques are)

Take a cab, and have dinner at one of the restaurants at Reina Club. It´s good food, and loads of fun to party there. It´s the best club in town.

Perfect for group tourism
I spent 4 days in this hotel and the most important feature was the location. Its very central and there is a metro station next to the hotel that connects it to every important location in Istanbul. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was not as good as I expected it to be but its wasnt bad.

Great Location & Very nice
Really enjoyed being right in the middle of everything. Perfect for walking to shops, bars and restaurants. If not you can take the subway right across the street. There are also plenty of taxis and busses. Loved the hotel and the staff was wonderful. High would highly recommend The Marmara.

Great time in Istanbul
The hotel's location is amazing. I would like if they renovate the rooms because they are old and they don't suit the welcoming renovated lobby.

good value
got it with a very good price comparing it with other sites. the on thing i didnt like is u can hear everything going on( city view ), though i was in the 16th floor. the concierge is doing a great job,

Business Traveller Expects Better from a 5 Star Property
The hotel location is very good but being a 5 Star hotel i was disappointed with the room. It was a small room with a very uncomfortable bed. The Toilet and shower was that of a 3 star property and not impressive at all. I travelling all over the world and this was quite disappointing. Would not book this property again as a 5 star option.

Taksim Square is full of bars and restaurants. Very lively at night and a great place to be in.
