Excellent - only trivial concerns
My wife and I spent 4 nights at Le Royal Meridian as a stopover on a trip from Malta to China. We would definitely book there again. The hotel is very well appointed and has a lovely upmarket ambience without feeling in any way stuffy. The staff were without exception very friendly and helpful - the service was great. I almost feel bad saying anything negative but I hope the management is always looking for opportunities for improvement. The only negatives were: - the bed was said to be kingsize, but it was only 2 single beds pushed together. - getting a cup of coffee early in the morning was a lot of fuss. The restaurant refused to give me a cup to take away and I was obliged to go back upstairs to wait 15 minutes for room service. This was not only total overkill with silver service, etc but also the "grand entrance" into our room woke up my wife unecessarily. A coffee stand in the lobby would be a great improvement.

very convenient and confortable
The hotel was located in a very convenient place, the beach was good and there was a nice shopping area two minutes walking from the hotel. There were nice restaurants near the hotel and in the hotel. The rooms were comfortable clean and the service room was great. We enjoyed a lot and had a wonderful time there.

Great hotel
I stay in hotels a lot but this one I will remember the most. The staff could not do enough for you, it was very clean and very organised. The food was great too!

Le Royal Meridein Resort & Spa
After much deliberation we chose Le Royal Meridien which is a sister hotel to Grosvenor. The hotel resort has multiple swimming pools, access to the beach with abundant covered seating and numerous outside restaurants. My room included pickup/drop-off from the airport, a tower room, a bottle of wine daily & breakfast. The driver waited for more than hour to pick us up, checking-in/out was a breeze. Staff were extra friendly with a smile. Excellent resturants within the hotel.I am a seasoned traveler and our first stay in Dubai at this hotel was a pleasant one.

Use taxis to get around, they are cheap. Mall shopping has fixed price but when shopping in the Souks, bargain and start with lowest price.

very relaxing atmosphere and courteous
Very friendly staff. Great buffet, although it was a little overpriced. The beach was very pristine, and the outdoor facilities were also very appropriate. There are a number of outdoor cafes, restaurants, and areas to smoke hookah (shishah) that may be of particular interest to those traveling in autumn or winter.

Within walking distance of this hotel is "The Walk" in the Dubai Marina, which is probably one of only two very nice pedestrian areas in Dubai. It includes mostly shops and restaurants.
