Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai

I have stayed before in many great hotels and this hotel is very comfortable and very clean with great staff. However, be aware of few facts before you check into this hotel: 1. Cheap rooms don’t have a shower or even a curtain over the tub, and trust me you’ll be sweating a lot in Dubai in summer times so stay clear from their cheapest rooms as it doesn’t tell online what type of room you’re getting. Management was kind enough to upgrade me to bigger room with great shower. 2. Rooms don’t have free internet or wireless and it costs a lot for 30 minutes only their lobby does have free WIFI. 3. Across from the hotel there’s a supermarket and a lot of restaurants and but they’re at the back of the buildings facing the hotel (so explore around) and no one will tell you as they want to sell you their expensive foods. 4. There a lot of things that didn’t work but maintenance was quick and fixed the problem, but that’s not their fault. 5. THE BIGGIE, most hotels in Dubai (four stars at least) have night clubs on the first floor and this one in addition had an Indian restaurant that played very loud music until 1:00 am, so stay away from their first floors or where the club rooms are located as the music plays on until 3:00 am.

Odotusten mukainen keski-ikäiselle pariskunnalle, joka on aiemmin käynyt pariin otteeseen Dubaissa. Hotellin hinta/laatusuhde oli ihan kohdallaan, joskin aamupala olisi saanut olla hieman parempi. Henkilökunta oli hotellissa ystävällinen ja esim. hierontapalvelut oli tosi hyviä. Kattouima-allas oli riittävä meidän tarpeisiimme. Jos odottaa viiden tähden hotellia, voi mennä muualle, mutta silloin pitää maksaa myös huomattavasti enemmän. Suosittelemme rauhalliseen lomaan.
