I Don't Know
I don't know what to say. One bed was uncomfortable, the other was fine. It is not in a bad location, but it is a very confusing drive into Bath itself. One woman at reception was unfriendly and officious, the other could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Nice place but not home
Over all the experience was fine. Take a GPS cause it is hard to find without one. We came in from Stonehenge side and would have never picked that road to look down. Thank technology for GPS. Nice location, had just been painted. Rooms were small and the floors were uneven. For the age I guess you kind of have to expect that. Beds need a little help. Over all for the price - nice stay

The city center of bath is not that far. Hotel sits in the valley and an excellent pub at the end of the drive

Good location - So, so quality
Our room looked clean enough on first view, but under dressing table and skirting boards etc were very dusty. The water pressure in the shower was very, very weak - although there was sufficient hot water. However, the lack of bottled water to make a hot drink in our room is something we have not experienced for a long time. When fellow guests asked about this omission they were directed to the bar to purchase their own! Externally the hotel and it's grounds are very pituresque and tranquil. Internally, the standard of decor is dated and looking extremely tired. There's a beam in the main lounge that looks like it's about to crash to the ground, bringing the ceiling with it. There is no longer access to analogue TV in our home town. It was quaint (but not really viewer-friendly) to find it still exists near Bath. Free Wi-Fi was a real plus. Breakfast at £9 per person seems rather overpriced. We gave it a miss and instead ate in the palacial surroundings of the Pump Room in Bath, for the same money, which was a joy. We would not return to this hotel or recommend it to others.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
The shopping in Bath is unsurpassed, although the same old High Street brands all have a presence, they are outnumbered by small independents which provide a unique experience.

Very old and dated, uncomfortable
Very old and dated, uncomfortable beds. Nice country location while still close enough to Bath if you have a car. Very hot room, no air flow.
