Great experience

The hotel was easy to find from the train station and mere blocks from the Abbey and Roman Baths. The room was simple but beautiful. It was very clean. No mini fridge to keep food in, but we were only staying one night so that was ok. It's also right next to a large grocery store so it was easy to run out and grab food. I would definitely come back.

Really good value and a great

Really good value and a great location. A small but very comfortable room. A full buffet breakfast was included in the price which was a real bonus. We were able to park the car next door at a fee of 20 pounds per day. We would stay here again.

its good

Did not understand the pool on the roof picture that looks like it is belong to hotel but there is no such thing like that. It looks promising but when you ask about it it is pretty much frustrating.

excellent value

We were there for just one night to pick up a car but found the whole experience pleasant and convenient. This is an older hotel but felt very fresh with warm hotel staff. The breakfast was good and served in a lovely room.

Location is v good, right in the

Location is v good, right in the heart of the city. Service good & staff friendly but overall, the hotel is looking a bit tired and would benefit from a refurb. Worst thing is the cost of parking. £21 per night is outrageous and is the one thing that would stop us from using this hotel again

tired and charmless

This didn't match my expectations at all: great location but...small rooms, dirty, tired fittings etc. Either go better and stay on the crescent or get a B+B.

Very clean and check in was fast.

Very clean and check in was fast. We had a room on the second floor but they had lift access to our room. Room was very clean and well laid out for our stay. For 1 night it was fine but it would be a bit small for a family to stay any longer if you needed to stay in the room during the day. Although the cot request was placed on the on-line booking we had to ask for one to be sent up after we got to the room. Breakfast was very good and there was lots of food. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of town and close to all attractions. Overall a very good experience, ideally located and very clean and quiet.

There is no swimming pool although

There is no swimming pool although there is a picture of one behind the reception desk. The three course meal for £19.95 per person which included a bottle of house wine was very good value. The car parking was expensive at £21. I would stay there again but not go by car.
