I stayed at this hotel and found it better then previous reviews had suggested, I would gladly stay here again for the price I paid(£17.50), The location was perfect for my needs and was able to check in early, I had a member of staff come and ask me if I needed anything to which I answered no as I had 2 clean towels, Clean bedding and clean room, Although I spent most my time out my room and only used as somewhere to sleep, I slept perfectly and have no complaints about my stay

birminghams worst hotel

my experience i endured was 19/07/12 and it was the worst hotel ever in the world, and i have stayed in many, staff unhelpful did not get out of the chair on departure, lack of signs to the room,no locks on room doors inside,no telephones in room, only one towel which was a hand towel, mattress with springs coming through, creaking floorboards, decor from 1960 needs totally upgrading,if you look at the website the photos are nothing like what your going to experience, spend the extra money on something than this dreadful hotel.

Great Price but Abysmal Bed

Me and my sister only paid £25 for this room and used it as a rest place in order to go to Spring Fair International at the NEC. Her bed was OK but mine could be squeezed to about a 1cm thickness with 1 hand, that's how bad it was. I had to lay down the 2 towels we got on top of it in a vein attempt to get more comfort. If both beds were like hers this Inn would have got a 5* result purely for the price of it, but the springs in the face brought it down.

Average hotel

The staff were very helpful and friendly, although the hotel was clean the room smelt very musty and the layout was not very practical. The price of the room did not reflect the quality of the hotel. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend.

Quirky.....unique

defies description. Was annoyed that the room had no telephone or hairdryer as stated. The tea/coffee in room was sparse and the room needed a good clean. However, for sheer value for money and quirkiness of the place it was great!! The eclectic style in the rooms is 'unique'! A cross match of victoriana, gothic, 30s influences.. The location is fantastic with good selection of eating places on the doorstep, city centre is 4 miles away costing £8 in taxi one way. Would stay again because of thebprice!

I LIKED IT

As to me, this little cosy hotel was worth visiting. The staff was friendly, you only had to make their acquaintance better first. My room was so quiet, that all my visit I slept like a log. Only the situation was a bit too far from the centre, too long to walk.Considering the price the quality was good. If you want a five-star-hotel, just book one, and pay a lot more.
