Quality Hotel Birmingham

Checked in on Saturday the 8th of October for 1 night, having booked two bedrooms, 1 Single and 1 Double. Bitterly disappointed! In one of our rooms, the windows had been left wide open and it was freezing cold, two single beds had been pushed together to form our 'double,' there were hairs in our tea tray, and thick dust layering all of the surfaces.In our other room, there was also plenty of dust, it stunk of smoke, the laundry was damp and there was a huge blood-stain on the sheets! After requesting to change both of our rooms, we were redirected to two similarly smokey-smelling, dirty laundered bedrooms, with yet again, a blood-stain on the sheets! Strikes me that such an unhygienic, dirty hotel is still running. How anyone could even consider ordering food here with the existing hygiene-standards is beyond my belief. I cant say it came as a shock to me when i saw another family complaining on their departure. I can honestly say that this is the worst hotel I have ever visited, and I would never consider going there again.Don't be deceived by the photographs.

Perfect hotel! It is close to center, the stuff is very friendly, the rooms are biiiiiiig, very comfortable and clean. Cuisine is also delicious. Together with low prices it makes Quality Hotel perfect for staying in Birmingham without overpaying.

The hotel itself was fine. The lobby/lounge area was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly but a little too casual (tending to gossip with each other before noticing you needed their attention). Our room was comfortable and clean, but the door was right next to the bed which was a bit awkward. The water pressure in the shower and sink was incredible....it was great in the shower! But the sink water came out so forcefully that it splashed all over and soaked my clothes and the floor. Also, it was about a 15 minute walk to a place to eat/drink which wouldn't be too bad if it was nice out, but it was freezing cold so we got a cab back. Also, there were no vending machines in the place. My boyfriend had to run across the street and down a block or so to grabs some snacks. On the plus side, the front desk staff had a cab waiting for us (as we requested) at 5am to take us to the airport and it was not expensive at all.
