A Couples Evening Out in the Heart of Birmingham

The only thing I can say negatively about the hotel was that it was a little warn when you went up to the bedrooms, corridors, walls, carpets etc. However the staff were really really helpful and friendly. The bed was outstanding comfortable, in fact so much so I could have taken it home with me, if only I could have carried it. No seriously although it is a 3 star the room was a good size and the breakfast was perfect.

Comfertable, Shopping, Clean, Simple

It seems pretty new, a couple of things here and there but overall very nice in terms of cleanliness and comfert. Literally a 30 second walk from the door to (a very fancy) mall with lots and lots of restaurants and about 5-10 minute walk from the train station and a HUGE shopping area with indoor and outdoor malls. Staff was nice but not keen on answering my questions and had a hard time understanding the concept (and processing the reservation) that I had added a few more nights on to my original stay but not a big problem. As far as amenities there isnt much. Internet is good and there is a coffee shop in the lobby but thats about it.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The area around the new street train station is great for shopping. The mall right next to the hotel is mostly art studios.

Its a little tired, and in need

Its a little tired, and in need of renovations. Very basic with little if any facilities. I was surprised that you still need to pay additional for internet, this is usually free at most major hotels now. If its warm dont bother, they have no airconditioning, just a small fan on the floor. The location is very good next to nice restaurants and bars, with shopping nearby. It can get noisy late at night, but then again so can most of the city hotels

The hotel had eveything you need the rooms were not small and very clean and you also had the option of smoking which came in useful for me! Staff friendly bathroom clean plenty of tea coffee milk etc. Ironing board iron all in room, absolutely everything. Great value for money cant wait to go again. Perfect for a weekend around Birminghams mailbox, brindley place and bullring etc
