Too Hot

I was woken by other guests walking through fire doors that slammed shut behind them and also children running down the corridor. There is a car park fee that I was not aware of but it was only £3. There is no air con in the room I was in and it got a bit to warm for me. I was able to open the window about 6 inches only. The shower was a little awkward to use and the temperature was not stable. WiFi was slow.

Great Hotel, Excellent Location

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Quick & easy check in, with friendly & professional staff. Room was clean ,well decorated & had a very comfortable bed. We used the pool facilities which were well maintained. Only a short walk to close bars & restaurants. Found a lovely Italian on Clifton St called La Fontana, highly recommend. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. We would stay again.

Classic

The staff at the Imperial are all lovely and hotel is like an old, dysfunctional club: cozy, but quirky. Example: their Wi-Fi signal didn't work on my phone and the business center computer was so slow I gave up getting my emails. It needed it's cache cleared, but I wasn't about to do that and didn't have time to ask them to do it. They cheerfully would have had I asked. The pub is very old-school, so you have to go to the bar and ask for service if you sit at a table. Once you have their attention, satisfying pub grub and drinks are sincerely served. This hotel truly feels like a dysfunctional old club and is an excellent value with a great location on the Promenade in Blackpool, the classic British seaside resort town.

Excellent seafront base for dancing at the tower

The imperial was a great base for a weekend of dancing in Blackpool. The hotel has the grand, slightly faded charm of a seaside hotel. We were allocated a room on the third floor - the room was small, the bed was small and there was little drawer space. The rooms could do with updating, but we were happy with the room for the price we paid. there was lots of hot water and the room was warm. The hotel really stands out for its location (a brisk 10 minute walk to the tower and north pier); and very friendly staff. Convenient, free parking and a hot tasty breakfast added to our enjoyment.

Rooms are very Very VERY small

Tiny postage stamp sized room and even smaller bathroom. Not at all what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Heating is on a timmer - I went in february - had to complain twice that my room was cold - was told twice it was on a timmer and would heat up later, Heating comes on at 5pm and goes off again at night. i woke up freezing, . Breakfast was of a good qulaity and was piping hot Location is great for Blackpool tower. Went to the VIVA caberet show beside the tower - that was fantastic In a time when a lot of hotels are struggling - spend your money wisely and go elsewhere. I would have had a much better Blackpool experience had I stayed away from the Imperial

weekend break

Lovely old hotel right on the front with a great view of the sea. Staff very friendly and rooms comfy and clean with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. Only a short walk from the main shops and the tower. Breakfast buffet was brilliant with a huge selection of food. All in all, a great place to stay for a weekend away.
