Excellent seafront base for dancing at the tower

The imperial was a great base for a weekend of dancing in Blackpool. The hotel has the grand, slightly faded charm of a seaside hotel. We were allocated a room on the third floor - the room was small, the bed was small and there was little drawer space. The rooms could do with updating, but we were happy with the room for the price we paid. there was lots of hot water and the room was warm. The hotel really stands out for its location (a brisk 10 minute walk to the tower and north pier); and very friendly staff. Convenient, free parking and a hot tasty breakfast added to our enjoyment.

Rooms are very Very VERY small

Tiny postage stamp sized room and even smaller bathroom. Not at all what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Heating is on a timmer - I went in february - had to complain twice that my room was cold - was told twice it was on a timmer and would heat up later, Heating comes on at 5pm and goes off again at night. i woke up freezing, . Breakfast was of a good qulaity and was piping hot Location is great for Blackpool tower. Went to the VIVA caberet show beside the tower - that was fantastic In a time when a lot of hotels are struggling - spend your money wisely and go elsewhere. I would have had a much better Blackpool experience had I stayed away from the Imperial

weekend break

Lovely old hotel right on the front with a great view of the sea. Staff very friendly and rooms comfy and clean with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. Only a short walk from the main shops and the tower. Breakfast buffet was brilliant with a huge selection of food. All in all, a great place to stay for a weekend away.

Excellent hotel in great location.

Excellent hotel in great location. A bit dated in parts but it is about 130 years old and the current owners, Barcelo, have plans for refurbishment as advertised in the hotel reception. Service was as you would expect from a top hotel.

Hotel was in a good location on

Hotel was in a good location on the sea front, a few mins walk from the tower. Plenty of parking. Reception area very nice. Room was average size with a modern clean bathroom. Kettle with tea & coffee provided. Celling in need of some repair (damp patches and wallpaper hanging off) All staff were very helpful and friendly. I used my priority points to pay for most of the room rate, probably wouldn't have paid the full £95 if I didn't have these points. I enjoyed my stay at the Imperial.
