Thistle Brighton

The room needed for a renew. Everything in the room was old. The TV could barely sensor the remote control. Only 1 set of shampoo and bath gel was provided in a double room, and the bottles were very small. We had shower twice and it ran out. The air conditioning was VERY LOUD, we had to switch it off to sleep properly. Location was pretty good and staff was friendly.

This is a very central hotel near the laines for shopping, near beach and pier for entertainment. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, have stayed here many times and will continue to do so

Well-situated and very comfortable room. Staff was friendly but unable to provide an electricity adapter without charge, which was quite annoying.

Good size room but bathroom not 4* quality. Problems with electronic key not working to enter room.

Superb. The room was excellent, overlooking the sea front. The view is great and we were even left a pair of binoculars in the room to watch the world go by. Some reviews mention that the hotel is dirty and in need of a revamp. Not on floor 4 at the front its not! Our room was recently redecorated and spotless. The main atrium and gym are also most impressive. We'd definitely go there again!

The Hotel is in a prefect location, lovely clean rooms, brilliant all round stay, would use again.

This was a great place to stay in Brighton. The location was great, the hotel and inemities were very nice. We forgot our suits so didn't use the pool, but it was pretty good size. We were in a corner room and we did have a view which we paid extra for, but because we were on the corner our window was pretty small. Very clean, great service. Drinks at the bar were a bit pricy, but overall very satisfying.

Very good hotel, lived up to the reputation of the Group

On arriving at the hotel the staff were brilliant. They showed us where everything from shopping, to good restaurants and bars etc was in relation to the hotel. They told us about the bus service to get the Marine which was where we were planning on going for the first night. The hotel rooms were great. The single beds were more like doubles and were nicely presented and very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and tidy and the other in room facilites were more than adequate. The hotel location was brilliant. Out the front doors you cross over and are on Brighton beach with its many bars/cafes and shops... to the rear you walk out in to the The Lanes shopping area - which is full of brilliant litte shops that I haven't come across elsewhere! All in all I would fully recomment this hotel.

Although the Thistle foyet and atrium bar are extremely impressive when you walk in, the standard double rooms are in desperate need of redecoration. The room was comfortable enough with everything you could need but the chipped paintwork, streaks up the walls and very old bath and fittings made us feel like we were staying in a roadside motel, rather than a 4* hotel; therefore, not worth the money. The room overlooked the atrium, so we had to keep the curtains shut the whole time. It was hot and stuffy, and the air-conditioner although working, had to be turned off due to the incredible noise it made. Very noisy in the corridors late at night with drunken revellers returning.
