Good location. Lovely breakfast even though it was an extra £7.50 each. Tiny room, a lot smaller than other hotels in Cardiff. Another £10 to park the car in the hotel carpark so overall not such a good price. Fire alarm went off in middle of night. Second time this has happened to me at this hotel. Had to be evacuated but false alarm. Service and breakfast has improved since my last stay here so would possibly stay again but there are cheaper, better hotels in more central locations.

Cardiff castle view
For: perfect location, next to the historical Cardiff castle, walking distance from the city centre with all the shops, restaurants, bars, etc.. Good value for money. "Mostly" friendly staff as they tried their best to see our comfort. Against: Had to request twice to have bathroom well cleaned. Heater wasn't working, but the staff managed to find a solution. No free internet access.

Short walk from hotel
Short walking distance from the main street, St Mary's street, where you have excellent bars, diners and restaurants. Highly recommend "The Louis" restaurant and the "Yard" bar & kitchen. Short walk you will also find Dewi Sant (St David's) shopping mall with a rather nice food court.

Happy Travelers
Great reception, very clean, spacious room, comfy bed and awesome location across the street from Cardiff Castle. Very pleased, and will choose Holiday Inn again.

Holiday Inn Cardiff
Very frustrating not to be able to get into room because key card did not work. I also asked to have the desk lamp repaired and they did not do that. The front desk personnel/concierge were useless for restaurant recommendations. Knew nothing.

Great location, fine staff, good buffet breakfast in an attractive airy setting. Upper floors have good views of Cardiff and the stadium next door.

Positif: l'accueil est excellent,
Positif: l'accueil est excellent, l'hôtel très bien situé, la chambre spacieuse est bien équipée, le prix comparé à celui d'un hôtel de même catégorie en France très attractif, bien que très proche du centre, l'hôtel est calme. Négatif: La chambre que nous occupions empestait le tabac, il est grand temps d'interdire de fumer dans les hôtel!
