Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff

Excellent rooms, great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was superb! Parking a tad expensive at £15 a night though.

Staff very stand-offish and not helpful we were there a week and no one spoke to us, only on arrival day and departure day. Room was too warm with no heat control. Was offered a twin room but did not get one. Would not recommend Raddison Blu.

The hotel is situated very close to Cardiff Central rail station and is also in close proximity to many of the city centre attractions. As expected, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. I was primarily in Cardiff to run the city half marathon so requested a late check-out in order to have a shower afterwards. This was given without hesitation and without charge. The staff were always polite and friendly throughout my stay. I didn't dine in the hotel restaurant so I can't comment on their food but I would expect it to be of a similar high standard.

The Radisson Blu in Cardiff is located right at one of the major entry points to Cardiff's pedestrian friendly center. Within a few steps of the hotel is a huge selection of dining and shopping options. In my breaks from working in the generously-sized hotel room (free internet is very convenient!) I took small walks to discover the many Arcades/Gallerias of Cardiff, little marvels hiding behind inconspicuous entrances, and to get a caffeine boost.

Very New Hotel, almost not completed as the minibar was clearly missing in the rooms although the space was arranged already. No toilet brush as well. In the first room we were given the air conditioning unit was noisy and we were offered another room. Standard breakfast, very good meals. Excellent price for the perfect central position and the luxury of the building.
