From the M4 take Junction 32, and then follow signs to the city centre on the A470. Stay on the A470 for approx 7 miles, you will pass over a flyover and go through a number of traffic lights, when you enter the city centre you will see civic centre buildings on your left and the Castle will be on your right. Once you pass the civic building and Hilton Hotel on your left, the road will bend to the right onto Castle Street. Follow this road around past the entrance of the Castle and through the traffic lights. Remain on the left hand lane of this road (the Angel Hotel will be on your left). You are now at the junction of Westgate Street and Castle Street with the iron gates of the Cardiff Arms Park directly in front of you. Do not turn left down Westgate Street but instead cross it and through the iron gates. Tell the parking attendants that you are guests at The Royal Hotel and you will qualify for 10 per vehicle for overnight parking. If there is no attendant present, simply tell them in the morning.
