Leisure facilities include swimming pool, BodyWorks beauty salon and rejuvenating spa amenities. Outside the hotel, guests can take a relaxing wander in the extensive hotel grounds or discover the sights and sounds of Cardiff only a short journey away. (GW 09/2008) A beautiful, traditional hotel, the St. Mellons Hotel was originally a large country house. Set amongst beautiful secluded gardens yet a stone's throw from the centre of Cardiff. St Mellons is the ideal base for visiting the many attractions of the surrounding areas, including the City of Cardiff. There's always something new to do in Cardiff, whether you are a first-time visitor or a life-long resident. Europe's youngest capital city has so much to offer, from historic castles and classical concerts, to vibrant street festivals and tranquil parks.

With high standards of service and an emphasis on luxury, the hotel comprises 41 en-suite bedrooms, all stylishly furnished. Every bedroom is elegantly furnished. The Country Rooms and Park Suites are beautifully proportioned with en-suite bathrooms. The spacious Garden Rooms, favoured by families, are situated just a few steps away within the grounds. They each feature a large bathroom with double wash basins with a selection of triple, double and double with a single bedded rooms. Rooms are traditionally furnished to a good standard.

The hotel is shabby, and needs

The hotel is shabby, and needs some serious refurbishment. The quality of the rooms were far better in the Express by Holiday Inn 2 miles away for half the price. Room apart, the foog was excellent, leisure facilities very good and staff very helpful.
