Booked room for £50 per night.

Booked room for £50 per night. Beautiful setting. Were taken through the hotel to our room (no 14) which is in the old part of the hotel (there are a number of rooms in a modern extension out of the back of the hotel). Lovely big room, clean sheets, flat screen TV on wall, spacious bathroom, tea facilities, 1 thing missing ....dressing gown :-( Spa is lovely and free to use, was a bit busy when we were in the pool (6-8pm). Evening meal was disappointing. Ate in the bar as the light/bar snack option seemed cheaper than the formal restaurant which seemed quiet. Nice atmosphere. Ordered 2 starters (30 mins to come out). For mains, I ordered spicy sweet potato soup, partner ordered cannelloni. Mains came out and apologised they only had leek and potato soup-didn’t want the soup down so they refunded both the mains (good job as the cannelloni was horrible)!Apart from the disappointing food, the stay including food (mains deducted) and drinks cost just £80-not bad for 2 people!
