Grove Street is a quite one way street, tucked discreetly away in the west end of Edinburgh. Here you can choose from 1 or 2 bedroom modern day serviced apartments, each one offering the freedom of your own personal pad in the city. The open plan lounge has a dinning area. The fully fitted kitchen is ideal for preparing your own meals and comes complete with the all-important dishwasher. The two bedroom apartment have a choice of configurations: double/twin or twin/twin. The one bedroom apartment is nice and simple and has a double bed. In the lounge, complimentary wifi Internet access offers 24 hour surfing and emailing while the cable TV and CD system will keep your eyes and ears happy for days. Sehr günstig gelegen zum Convention Center. Hat alles funktioniert, lediglich zum Kaffee kochen fehlte ein Filter (darf man in GB wohl auch nicht erwarten). Die Betten sind sehr weich, sonst gibt es nichts zu kritisieren.

A good option for the old town

Reception staff friendly, comfortable and spacious room and a reasonable price, only a short walk from the old town centre. Breakfast was nothing special, but there are loads of good cafes within 10 mins walk. I would definitely return.

Couldn't have been in a better location. Easy to walk to the castle, Grassmarket and just about everything else. Room was great for the price and the staff was very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at apartment 1 for 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay as the service was excellent. We had a problem with the bath plug (which was stuck!) and we called their 24 hours reception at 11.30pm and within minutes someone came round to fix it. The 'double headed' shower was a bit confusing at first but we managed to work it out. Overall it was good experience and would happily recommend it.

What a hotel - despite being have a great location in the middle of Edinburgh (less than 5 minute walk to Haymarket), the "hotel room" was actually a huge two-bedroom apartment complete with well equipped kitchen. Great price - made even better with an Orbitz coupon - really sealed the deal. Highly recommended!

We have been to many place, and honestly I can not think about any critics. The only thing I see that could be improved is explaining / displaying where the reception desk is located : once in front of the appartment, you can get a bit confused.

The newly refurbished Royal Ettrick Hotel in Edinburgh is set within the mature, leafy Victorian suburbs to the south of Edinburgh city centre. Our experience at the Fountain Court Apts EQ2 was very pleasant. Our apartment was very lovely, modern, and clean. The location was great, very close to Old Town and within walking distance of just about everything. Several restaurants are right across the canal from the apartment complex, so very convenient. Our 2nd night in the apartment, we had a gas leak in the gas meter. The person in the reception office handled the situation very well, calling the gas company and moving us into another apartment for the remaining 3 nights of our stay. Overall, the experience was very nice and we would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Edinburgh, especially for a longer period of time.

Have stayed here several times - it is a good base for business users. Can seem a bit off the track but in fact centrally located. The location is ideal for a city centre base - no traffic noise and very little pedestrian noise too. Very noisy early morning carpet cleaning in the hallway and being phoned up by reception 5 minutes after the due checkout (making me go back into room I was exiting) were only two niggles. They seem to have stopped leaving breakfast items in the fridge - no great hardship as there are several minmarkets nearby including a Sanisburys and Co-op. Pleasnat, reasonably kitted out, anonymous accomodation near Edinburgh city centre at a reasonable rate (for the UK).

You're going to love this place

We were greeted by the friendly staff and given a tour of our apartment. Their was nothing they had not thought of. The apartment was comfortable and inviting. The staff had even gone grocery shopping and had stocked our refrigerator with milk, juice, butter. And provided a basket filled with cereals and a loaf of bread as well as coffee, tea and sugar. Kevin and Christopher are fabulous, they are their to help in any way they can. Whether you need a cab or advice on what to see or do during your stay in Edinburgh they are their to help. The Apartment is immaculent and modern. The beds comfy. Our stay here was perfect!

The brand new Grove Executive Apartments will feature 24 luxury 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, including 2 stunning penthouses. Designed to the own specification, this contemporary and bespoke collection of apartments will provide an open plan lounge/dining area leading on to a fully fitted kitchen. Elegant bedrooms and luxury bath or shower rooms and toiletries complete the package. All the two bedroom apartments incorporate a separate shower or bathroom for each bedroom - perfect for the corporate guests, and the two penthouse apartment have a 'loft like' living space, providing truly spacious and luxurious accommodation. Hotel will also have 3 studio apartments, each featuring a clever and stylish glass partition feature wall to separate the bedroom and living area. Another fantastic Fountain Court hotel!

This is the second Fountain Court apartment/hotel in Edinburgh I have stayed in (the other being Harris), and just like their other properties it is new, clean and of generally high quality. The location is great - just far enough from Princes Street so as to not be bothered by the crowds / tram works (still going...), but close enough to places like Lothian Road and Haymarket to have your pick of bars and resturants. Highly recommended for short or long term stays, group or single travel.

One Night Stand

This Hotel is only a stone's throw, and I mean a stone's throw, from the Grassmarket. Very good hotel, staff on arrival where extremely helpful and very polite, (I think her name was Rachel and she was terrific!) Hotel itself looks great from the outside and is like the Tardis inside! It's huge! Only one downside, shower is run off the taps, and it runs scalding to cold to warm constantly! There is no constant heat which makes showering very difficult! Other than that, great value for money at only £44 for a twin room for a night! I'd definitely stay there again!

While staying here we took an overnight tour through Scotland. The Point Hotel kindly secured our luggage while we were away for the night so we wouldn't have to drag it along. This was great because even though we had not paid to stay in hotel this night they didn't charge for this convenience, though we did stay another night upon our return from tour. Great, friendly and helpful staff. Call a cab, You got it, find an after hour place to eat, You got it. My kid of service.
