Good Location & Comfortable

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful. Location was good. We walked everywhere. Castle, grocery store, restaurants all close by. Took a taxi (4 Euros) to bus stop and then bus to airport. Worked out great. We would stay there again.

perfect weekend venue

Made very welcome from start to finish, excellent food (quantity and quality both spot on). Comfortable room (plenty of pillows but none firm enough but that's just personal taste, they felt a bit hollow). That's the only thing I have to say about our entire stay, the rest was absolutely lovely and the hotel had a wonderful view of the Castle at night. Really enjoyed it, would highly recommend!

Great on the fly

Last minute booking on the train from Glasgow and the hotel was good to this weary, jet lagged traveler. My only gripe was that I mentioned that my luggage had been left on the train (my fault) and while the staff said they were keen to help out, they ended up making me wait 45 minutes to get to my room for "official" check in time. All the while I knew they weren't near capacity.

Love this hotel!

I was on a long trip to Europe, staying in many hotels in various places, and this was my favorite! It's hip and modern yet warm and cozy. And the location couldn't be better. The staff was great, too. I heartily recommend.

Perfect location

We stayed at the Apex City Hotel last weekend for 3 nights. From the start the staff were so friendly and attentive, they couldn't do enough for us. The Hotel is located right in the Grassmarket area, with plenty of pubs and restaurants on the same street and is only 2 minutes walk from the Royal Mile and less than 5 mins from the Castle. The room was spacious but I was a little disappointed there was no mini fridge or room safe. I requested a room with a view of the Castle and this is what we got which was great. We did not get breakfast in the Hotel but we did use the room service and the food was great. Overall I would definitely recommend this Hotel and if I return to Edinburgh I would stay here again.
