Outstanding Experience
When we got here they told us we get a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room, which was awesome. We had castle view and the room is stunning. Showers are hot and with pressure, the swimming pool is quiet and the area in the pool is warm. The sauna is very good (dry sauna). We didn't eat there so we can't know whether its good or not. The rooms are very warm!

Great location - hotel needs better management
Hotel well located basic price does not include breakfast or car parking - which makes a 2 night stay a little expensive Staff were pleasant but uninformed so we had a few wasted journeys to their restaurant which was unavailable in the evening and generally was not informed as to where to get breakfast, how to use wi fi etc and kept waiting at reception desk due to again bad management.

If it is your first time in Edinburgh take the green bus tour for £ 12 your ticket is valid for 24 hours and it brings you to all the interesting spots. Just 2 minutes from the hotel and the live commentary alone is worth the money

Excellent location
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and had an excellent view of the castle and the Grassmarket. Room service was reasonably priced and the food was very good. We could not have asked for a better location, we could walk everywhere we needed to go. The pool was a nice way to relax and the sauna was wonderful. The only improvement I could suggest was for them to add a resident laundry room. I was there for 2 weeks and would have liked to have washed a load of clothing. The hotel has laundry service but it was too expensive. Bottom line, I would stay here again without hesitation.
