Nice but Noisy
The Hotel was just around the corner from Princes Street and a great location for all attractions. Everything was great about this Hotel except the room we had was at the front on a busy Road. The double glazing didn't keep the traffic noise out which woke me a few times in the night. Would stay here again but request a room at the back of Hotel.

Short walk from hotel
If you're staying a few days save yourself expensive city parking charges by parking in a private parking place advertised through a parking website. We did and saved £30+

nice place bad hotel
we had bad experience in this hotel, when we arrived about 1700 the staff told us that there was an error on their website and their rooms are already full.. and they are trying to call us... but our booking was more than 1 month advance and we didnt receive any calls from them.. they want us to transfer to other hotels but we didnt accept... after few mins they gave us a room with 2 seperate beds instead of a double bed that we reserved..we dont recommend this hotel.

Average Hotel
The Hotel is in a very nice location, able to walk to hop-on/off buses that meet at Waverly bridge that is about a 10min walk. There is a local bus route right outside the hotel. We came in early March and the weather was sunny with no rain at all. Just dress warmly since you will get warm with all the walking anyway! The Hotel is connected to a shopping center "John Lewis" and has a sky-bridge that goes to the movie theater which also contains various restaurants (Pizza Hut!). Our room had two twin size beds pushed apart when we ordered a queen. We did not bother to ask for a different room from a long days travel and just wanted to sleep. The room itself was average, the bathroom was small. There is a hairdryer, ironing board, coffee/tea maker, T.V, AC/Heat available. We did utilize room service one day and it was speedy (about 20 minutes). There is a restaurant on the ground floor which also serves breakfast which was not the best for 15 B.P per person. It was actually more affordable to go to the Starbucks across the street! What made this place is defiantly the staff. Every single one of them were very nice and helpful.

Happy with the accommodation... as for the food!!
I chose this hotel mainly because of the central location. As I am wheelchair-bound, an accessible room is essential. Having had vast experience of this, I thought the room was well planned with plenty of space. The shower room had everything within my reach and at a good level. However, what was extremely disappointing was the quality of the food. Tasted very much like 'shop bought and heated up'. My friend actually sent her main course back and wasn't satisfied with what she had afterwards either. I ate my 'plastic' starter but left most of my main course as it was very bland and the Satay Sauce was literally a dollop of crunchy peanut butter. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this hotel... not what I would expect from a 4-Star hotel.

On the road again prof
Great location
The hotel is conveniently located. Walking distance from bus to airport, restaurants, and popular attractions. The walls of the rooms are paper thin, however. I heard every conversation and movement of other guests in the hall.

Worth it!
Great Location (between new town & arthur seat, & only about a block & a half from old town)!!! Room was clean & pretty decent size (I have stayed in much smaller rooms all over Europe). Bathroom was average size for Europe standards. Safe, blow dryer, iron & ironing board located in room. I was shocked to see the elevators could fit more than one person & a bag. Room Service food was less than average but at least edible especially at 1am. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was less than average. Convenient entrance to mall on the 3rd floor. Overall pretty good for price.
