Easy living in Edinburgh
We arrived from an overnight flight, tired, sore, and dragging bags. The Radisson is an easy walk from the Airlink terminal, if a bit uphill. We were able to check in early, shower, nap, and still walk to Edinburgh Castle well before closing time. This hotel is very centrally located, has a beautiful exterior, spacious rooms, and nice amenities (coffee/tea service with a surprise or two, nice tub/shower combination, lovely shampoo, etc). We could open the window in our room, to see Arthur's Seat and hear the gulls cry. The staff are very attentive, and willing to explain almost anything. I think the hotel is a very lovely place to stay. Regrettably, I can't afford to stay here more often.

Great location!
We visited with our nephew at Edinburgh University recently and stayed 3 nights at the Rad Blu. Truly a great location for the old town, the castle, the train station and of course the university. Hotel lounge is spacious, comfortable, a good place to sit and plan the day. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast was ample. What more do you need for short visit!

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Even on a Tuesday evening in October, in this area, it is best to reserve a table for dinner. We were only a party of 2, but had to try 5 restaurants before we found one with a free table.

Location, location!
This hotel has the perfect location to tour the old city. It is in the middle of the Royal Mile and half way between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Castle. It is also within easy walking distance of the National Museum of Scotland. In addition, there was a Starbucks in the next block to give us our coffee fix at a reasonable price! The staff was extremely helpful with all of our requests. Our room was large and the bath was very good size. Our only complaint was that the room needed more lights. It was difficult to read without rearranging some of the furniture, but, that being said, we will stay at the Blu on our next trip to Edinburgh.

Central location - Great hotel
This hotel has a wonderful location and is within comfortable walking distance of most of the things that you want to see and do. We walked to the castle, shops, the museum and the ghost tour meeting spot without much time or effort. There was usually the sound of bagpipes in the air. The rooms on the pub side of the building can be noisy on the lower floors at night. There are no drawers in the hotel room. We were on a wait list for a luggage rack. I'd stay here again.

Great hotel at a great location
The hotel is around the middle of the Royal Mile, and with quick and easy access to Weaverly train station and Airport bus transportation. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and not too pricey. Overall a very good hotel.

Best place to stay in Edinburgh!
MY 3rd stay at this hotel in as many years. could not ask for a more perfect location, walking distance to everything! Staff very courteous and helpful. Called down to the desk 2 different times, and it seemed as soon as I hung up the phone, someone was knocking at the door with what I requested.

Location is Ideal
The hotel is in an ideal location on the royal mile. Equal distances between the castle and the palace. It is only a sort walk across the bridge to the new part of the city with endless shops and restaurants. There are bars, restaurants and coffee shops immediately outside the hotel. The hotel looks spectacular from the outside and nice and tidy in side, room was nice with basic amenities nothing special. The swimming pool and leisure facilities were a bonus but small. Very expensive to eat and drink in the hotel- eat out lots of fantastic restaurants near by. only downside of our room it seemed to be noisey at night!

Nice hotel
Very nice hotel located right smack in the middle of the Royal Mile. Could not ask for a better location. The car park was very convenient. The rooms and the hotel as a whole were modern and chic. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Laundry services were on the expensive side -- you can almost buy a package of new underwear or a new pair of jeans for the money it costs to wash them! A good stay overall.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Always Sunday was a great breakfast option, located a very short walk up the Royal Mile in the direction of the castle. Good food, including full Scottish breafast option. Good prices. Nice alternative to the hotel breakfast.

Radisson Blu - Edinburgh
For a hotel of this caliber and expense I was not satisfied that my room had several stains on the carpet, a very large chip in the tub and a massive crack running through the bathroom sink. I would also expect hotels of this price range to offer free WiFi since many less expensive hotels do. To me, the best thing about the hotel is it's location in the heart of Old Town and only a short walk from the train station.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Take at least one of the many late night ghost walks. Several meet just footsteps away from the hotel.
