Lovely stay
I stayed here for two nights while doing research at the National Library. It and all the historical downtown attractions are within walking distance, if you want a little exercise; and the hotel itself (really a B&B) was lovely, peaceful and well set-up, with fastidiously clean and brand-new marble sink in my room and fixtures in the bathroom. My room was a bit small, but fine since there was only me in it. Everything else was perfect.

Average. Not great value.
The location is easily accessible from the North Bridge by bus. It is about a 20 minutes walk if you are so inclined (not recommended if your are walking with luggage). I was not impressed with the place as the rooms are small and the decor dated. The tea/coffee was outside the rooms. Storage was almost non existent. The breakfast is awesome though.

We visited Edinburgh for sight-seeing weekend get-away. The hotel's proximity to the Royal Mile and Princes Street with easy access to public transit makes its location excellent--no noise of revelers but near the action. The hotel itself was comfortable. The hotel personnel were extremely hospitable. I really enjoy the full Scottish breakfasts as well. The rooms are comfortable. The hotel was accommodating in keeping our luggage so that we did not have to deal with it on our last day of sight-seeing.

The Ben Doran
Very comfortable room & felt like living in a huge house with our shared bathroom in the hall. Very clean & attractive. Breakfast was great with porridge made just like "Grandma's", plus variety of cereals, breads, eggs, sausages. We felt it was a great place to stay. Each morning we jumped on the public bus & were in the city center in 5 minutes.

Charming hotel with a good athmosphere.
Charming hotel with a good athmosphere. Quiet area, some traffic outside, but it didn`t bother me. I shared the bathroom (toilet also) with one other room, acceptable considering the price. If I return to Edinburgh, I may choose this hotel again.

Hôtel sympa. Chambre et salle de douche : correctes et propres (mais trouvé 2 poils dans le lit (~)). Personnel très souriant. Pas loin du centre ville, 7mn en bus. Séjour agréable.

호텔측의 가족같이 따스하게 대해주는 친절한 서비스와 주차장이 무료라는 점이 최고의 장점! 도심에서 2~3마일정도로 멀지도 않은 비엔비가 즐비한 대로변에 위치하고 있으나 경제성을 원하는 단기여행자에게는 추천할만함. 다만 샤워시설을 공동이용해야하는 점과 엘리베이터가 없는 3층이라는 점에 유의해야함.
