The Bonham is regarded as one of the finest hotels in Edinburgh, and was recently named as Scottish Boutique Hotel of the Year. The Bonham is one of the coolest hotels in Edinburgh, where you'll enjoy an uplifting contemporary ambiance within the classic timelessness of a Victorian town house. Situated in Edinburgh's West End, The Bonham is just a short walk from the city's many excellent shops and boutiques, the financial district and of course all the top sights of Edinburgh. During your stay you will be accommodated in one of the 48 individually decorated bedrooms. You may wish to enjoy one of the deluxe superior rooms, or for that ultra special stay one of the luxury suites. Experience Edinburgh's most timeless contemporary restaurant, Restaurant at the Bonham. You'll be tempted by distinct European-inspired food and enticed by provocative wines. You can check in to your room from 2pm on the day of arrival, and have the convenience of checking out at 12noon on the day of departure, should you have a late start. Unusual features are revealed to you throughout the hotel including an original Edwardian copper bath in one of the superior rooms and a distinctive crimson spiral sofa-bench in reception (so you'll feel inspired by the setting). The Bonham also houses a permanent art collection, featuring the works of approximately 30 local 'up and coming' Scottish artists. The hotel recognises the fact that the nature of its services results in an overall impact on the environment, and that by conducting the business in a responsible and thoughtful manner, it can reduce this impact and act to improve the quality of the environment where appropriate. Have a look at the hotel's environmental policy statement for more details. The hotel's team aims to provide a refreshing and memorable experience with a friendly, personal service and real attention to detail. The hotel offers conference facilities, free breakfast, free parking, high-speed Internet access - complimentary, restaurant, room service, wireless Internet, events facilities (cost incurring) and lift. Pets are also allowed. It's a smoke-free property.

Superb city centre hotel

Great base for Edinburgh city centre activities. Short stroll from Modern Art Galleries and Water of Leith in one direction and city centre in other. Lovely New Town location. Room was spacious, well appointed, nice decor and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Didn't have meals in hotel apart from breakfast which was plentiful and very tasty. Definitely one to go back to.

This was a good quiet location,

This was a good quiet location, a short walk into the Centre. I didn't eat there in the evenings, but breakfasts were cetainly fine (the salmon was particularly good).

Green Features Not Always Stellar

The rooms were great and the style was fun... This hotel names all of its "green" features - which I think are admirable - but what "energy savings" means in this case is NO air conditioning. Edinburgh is generally cool - but the summer can be high heat and humidity. There was no method for air circulation...no ceiling fan or mechanical exhaust - it was stifling. Hard to rest in a hot sticky room.
