The Knight Residence

The hotel was ok, staff were helpful. The room could have been a lot cleaner, the glass lamp shade was coated in dust and the maid didn't Hoover the carpet where I had dropped a packet of crisps. The location was poor although described central. There were THREE strip bars at the end of the street which we had to walk pass every time we left the appartment and every time we did were jaunted at by the men outside. They made rude and sexists remarks to my friend and myself which left us very upset and scared to leave the appartment at night. I am only glad that I didn't take my children to this appartment to be exposed to this. We were not made aware of this on booking and feel we should have been. It felt like we were staying in the red light district! This has been my only holiday this year and i have been saving up for a long time to go and I am very disappointed. We rented a one-bedroom apartment which was small but well laid-out. It had all the amenities that we needed- well equipped kitchen, a washer dryer, televisions in the master bedroom and the living room, nice bathroom with robes provided., dining table and chairs, good location to tourists sites and wonderful concierge staff.

We were greeted by the friendly staff and given a tour of our apartment. Their was nothing they had not thought of. The apartment was comfortable and inviting. The staff had even gone grocery shopping and had stocked our refrigerator with milk, juice, butter. And provided a basket filled with cereals and a loaf of bread as well as coffee, tea and sugar. Kevin and Christopher are fabulous, they are their to help in any way they can. Whether you need a cab or advice on what to see or do during your stay in Edinburgh they are their to help. The Apartment is immaculent and modern. The beds comfy. Our stay here was perfect!

A good place to come home to after a day of sight seeing. The staff was always helpful and polite. You'll never want to stay in a regular hotel again. The location was good and taxis to the train and bus stations were reasonable.

Walked to the Castle and to the fun Grassmarket area. My sister and I loved having tea and breakfast in our own comfy apartment. Off street parking and helpful staff were great amenities, too.

It's not your run of the mill hotel atmosphere (no pool) but we had 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. There was a washer/dryer and a full kitchen in the unit along with a living room. It was clean and convenient with a helpful staff. I would certainly stay there again in the future.

We were greeted by a friendly staff, [...] the duty manager walked us up to our room and pointed out the features. We arrived in Edinburgh after traveling around Europe for eight days and believe me it was great having a washer and dryer the the apartment. Our apartment was spacious and well appointed. On the kitchen counter we found a welcome gift of milk, bread, cereal, coffee and tea etc. [...] also supplied us with travel books and great advise on pubs and food near the hotel.

It was like staying at home with someone wonderful to take care of everything for you. A completely furnished, beautiful and very comfortable apartment with every amenity and an unbelievable helpful staff. Central location, walking distance from The Grass Market, which has at least 8 recommended restaurants. They also have a high commitment to green policies. I loved this place. I didnt want to leave

This was our second trip to Edinburgh and Knight Residence was absolutly the best choice. We were here visiting our son who is attending the University of Edinburgh and it was just like being at home! I, as a mom, was able to cook some of his favorite meals that he misses with the fully equipped kitchen. I can't say enough about how helpful the staff and the maid service was to us. I would definately recommend this wonderful place to anyone!

The Knight Residence was fantastic! the apartment was very comfortable with everything your may need and much more--it was really like being in our own home. The duty managers, [...], were excellent in giving us good advice and recommendations and their overall customer service was outstanding! My husband and I recommend this apart hotel to everyone. It was like being in our own home, but with the service of a 5-star hotel.
