Charming English Hotel
Lovely hotel, well situated for Exeter. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, especially dinner. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey for what is offered.

Excellent location and good size
Excellent location and good size rooms. Good breakfast Weak point : room service - very poor; the food ordered came after ONE hour 15 mins ! They dont even keep a water jug/glasses in the room and charge you 5 pounds when you ask for one !!

Great hotel !
We stayed in a family room - 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 - during the University of Exeter Graduation week. Despite the hotel being fully booked, staff were very professional, and we got an excellent family room. The bar and breakfast room were very modern with a great ambience. The hotel was in a great central location - it more than exceeded our expectations.

Our room was situated on the ground
Our room was situated on the ground floor, we stayed about a year ago on the 1st floor in a nice modern clean room. Unfortunately this room was not. It was a disabled equiped guest room. Dark decor and wall paper hanging off the wall with mould growing around the bath. I was very unimpressed and thought did the hotel not think that all guests staying would enjoy the standard presented on the upper floor. As we were only staying for 1 night we put up and enjoyed the rest of the facilities instead. Nice breakfast and use of the pool with good central location made up for the 1980's styled cigarette stained room. If we stay again I will make sure we go up a floor.

The reception area of the hotel
The reception area of the hotel is beautiful.... the rooms are quite good. They could due with a bit of a refurb but nonetheless I would definitely stay there again. The location is great; walking distance in to town. Also enjoyed the pool & sauna.

The room was very comfortble and had been recently been refurbished to a hifg standard. The breakfast was excellent as is the location of the hotel which is only a few minutes walk from the cathedral. We very much enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

Modern Hotel
The pool and hot tub were some of the best features of the hotel. Rooms were very large and clean and include use of a refrigerator. Would have liked free wireless internet.
