Dining
- Elliot's Restaurant & Bar
- Elliot's Bar Restaurant is a well thought-out bar and adjoining brasserie-type-affair, another Bath Street subterranean drinking affair. The menu spans the globe with some interesting options for a mid-price lunchtime bite.

Courteous and friendly staff will make sure that you and your friends or family have a good time and a great meal. All food is freshly cooked to order and only the finest seasonal produce is used. The speedy service and excellent value make it an ideal dining stop prior to a show or as a night out in itself.

Best Western is trying to get it right
I have really enjoyed my stays at a number of Best Western hotels in Scotland. I really enjoy how they are refurbishing older inns and buildings to modern standards and keeping some of the old charm. The Glasgow City Hotel unfortunately didn't quite measure up to the standards of the others I have stayed in.

Dirty
With my family we found the bathroom dirty by blood, the room damp and smelly, no lift and wi-fi with bad reception. The staff is friendly but not helpful.

Very nice hotel
Hotel staff was so nice. Room was so clean and comfortable. Smaller than most USA rooms, normal for Europe. No elevator as it is a listed building. But there are rooms on the ground floor.

Hot in the basement!
We were given a lower ground room which had 2 big drawbacks; one was lack of natural lighting and the other was we weren't allowed to open the window for security reasons and therefore it was very hot. The room itself was well presented although a little small, however it had a massive bathroom which was nicely decorated. The staff were all foreign bar one and not one asked how we were at any time and on leaving didn't ask how our stay had been - very clinical!

First timer
Beware the parking charges! Make sure you get the hotel staff to write down the charges for the multi storey car park the hotel uses. If you are staying more than a couple of days it could cost you dear and the staff do not all know how much parking there actually costs during the day and night. Tip! Unload your suitcases first at the door then park your car or you could get soaked going back and forward to the car park. Hot water comes out the cold taps, I don'tknow why. Hot water comes out the cold

Nice hotel - centrally located...
Not bad, but paper thin walls. Bad when other guests want to sing to themselves when you need to sleep...Overall though, very good value for money. Nice location for down town and the West End. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Nearly all the nearby restaurants offered a pre theatre menu, offering very good value.
