Dining
- Elliot's Restaurant & Bar
- Elliot's Bar Restaurant is a well thought-out bar and adjoining brasserie-type-affair, another Bath Street subterranean drinking affair. This one's aimed at the more tailored boozer, well presented in bright red details over black ash and crisp white linen. The menu spans the globe with some interesting options for a mid-price lunchtime bite.
- Massimo Italian Restaurant
- Massimo Glasgow opened in 1996, it is situated close to the main attractions in Glasgow city centre and being opposite the King's Theatre makes it ideal for theatregoers and thespians alike. With a warm and modern interior it makes a relaxed and informal atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner for two or a family night out. Courteous and friendly staff will make sure that you and your friends or family have a good time and a great meal. All food is freshly cooked to order and only the finest seasonal produce is used. The speedy service and excellent value make it an ideal dining stop prior to a show or as a night out in itself.
- Bar Budda Sauchiehall Street
- Bar Budda on Sauchiehall St in the bustling city of Glasgow is one of the city's busiest and best bars. For a night on the tiles they have DJ's playing most nights with some party tunes to get you in the mood and some great drinks promotions to top it off. Recently refurbished in March 2008 Budda is a well established Bar with quality and great value for money Pub food. Their menu will have something to tickle those taste buds! The Evening Times calls them one of the 'Best Bars in Glasgow' with good reason; it is the perfect pre-club location now it is open till 2am at the weekend for you to party all night. As a bonus it's FREE ENTRY ALL NIGHT!! And there are some seats outside for you smokers or just some summer drinking.

Modern but small rooms
Super modern rooms although kinda small, but who cares! I was barely in the room at all, more interested in sightseeing. Even though they were small they're still pretty comfortable. For the rate I got this was an incredible deal. I would stay here again for shizza.

Long walk from hotel
Go to King's Court just shy of Glasgow Green. There's a pub/cafe there called Mono and a vintage clothing boutique called Mr. Ben. It's just past all the Buchanan Street shops and pretty hip.

Top stay. Loved it. Great location, excellent customer service. Free bottles of red and white wine plus water and Pringles in room. Well turned out. Staff very polite and helpful. Free breakfast, even though we booked Room Only (toast, muffins, coffee, orange juice). Only downside was that Wifi wasn't working in room. However, would certainly stay again - superb.

Surprisingly modern rooms in a
Surprisingly modern rooms in a hotel that looks past its best from outside. The plumbing is absolutely excellent although bathroom size is miniscule. Excellent value and a great short stay.

A very pleasant stay in this city
A very pleasant stay in this city centre hotel which is close to all attractions, particularly the King's Theatre. There's no restaurant onsite, but plenty to choose from nearby. Would def stay here again...

Nice hotel near Sauchiehall. No
Nice hotel near Sauchiehall. No lift, so be prepared for some extra excercise :-) Overall we were satisfied with our stay, but there was a couple of minor issues, like the internet not working (wifi with strong signal, but no internet access!?) for the entire stay. The included breakfast was really at a minimum. However, very nice staff and we would have no problems staying there again!

Budget Hotel with Potential
Quite simply this hotel did not meet my expectations. I had to LIFT my heavy luggage up the stairs to merely enter the building. Granted, I am not a novice traveller & have had to concede to a lot of differences between U.S. & European hotels, yet having to tow my luggage up a SECOND flight of stairs to get to my room only to be met by the stench of what seemed like roach spray was a bit much for me. I soon was under the impression that this hotel had been perhaps an apartment building or boarding house given the layout of my room, which was small, tastefully decorated yet had no room temperature controls; there were two windows which I could open (one of which had already been opened). There was no view to speak of, only a brick wall, window to another room, & questionable apparati that seemed a cross between a fire escape & conduit for miscreants to enter my room (needless to note that my windows were locked most of the time, leaving my room rather stuffy). The wireless internet did not work in my room so I was forced to sit in the lounge area where the television sometimes blared & the wireless signal was sporadic at best. Despite my chagrin over having to come to the lounge every time I wanted to get online (there were a handful of other patrons who begrudgingly came to the lounge as well), I did especially like the espresso machine in the lounge as well as 24hr access to the lounge should I have a late night hankering to visit it. In short, I would note that this hotel was a "good enough" hotel for one who could deal with the noise of the slamming doors (there were two heavy doors that lead to my room; both slammed each time someone entered or left). Likewise, the lack of room temperature control, sporadic wireless service in the lounge only, and quaint reception & lounge areas were pluses while having to manually reset my alarm clock after leaving the room each time (forget visible digital clocks built into the television or automated wake-up calls, this room key-powered electricity only had an older style alarm) and having to take my luggage two flights of stairs were glaring minuses.

Short walk from hotel
The Best Western is about a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre proper where you'll find George's Square, the tourist office (do visit that FIRST for great information on events & tours), a panoply of stores, restaurants, pubs & the like. Even closer are a number of restaurants & shops (there is a Tesco Express just two blocks away). Bus stops abound as well.
