Pet-friendly West End hotel with steakhouse by Glasgow Botanic Gardens

hilton experience
They were doing construction so the only rooms were on the 1st floor. I awoke to drilling in the morning. They didn't really have any amenities. If I wanted a gym or pool they said I could use the facilities at the other Hiliton.

VERY NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW
Great neighborhood and close to a subway station, making it easy to get anywhere. The room was good-sized and had plenty of towels. Staff was very helpful.

Great location
Check-in man was reluctant to allow 'early' check-in at 12.30pm despite an email request & all night travel from USA. Then upgraded to suite an hour later - so worth the wait.

Technical mix up with room booking
Technical mix up with room booking online. Hotel were unhelpful in resolving matter and charged £30 upgrade fee as well as top rate extra night stay billing. Shower in room was broken. Room was excessively warm. Location was excellent.

we had booked in the January sale
we had booked in the January sale and thought room might be a bit 'tired' but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent and nothing was any trouble for them. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable - lovely view to the front of the hotel. There was a fire alarm at 5.30 am and the staff were excellent. It was a real luxury break and i will be trying for this offer in the next January sale.

Had a very nice stay. The down side is the traffic noise from Great Western Road, and the hotel has very thin walls. The room was nice, but in need of refurbisment to keep up standards. Anyway, no complaints. Would visit again.
