it was a super wee break and all was pretty good. staff were excellent, location great, breakfast lovely. i have no real complaints or issues which reduced it from perfect to very good only that I have stayed in much more glamarous locations throughout the World and it's tough to compare with some. Value for money though, so well done the Millenium

Very utilitarian.
The hotel hasn't been renovated in a while but everythings kept very clean. The staff were nice and kept our luggage for the entire day. They only allow 4 towels per room which I though was weird even when i explained that we needed them as we wanted to shower before dinner, bed and in the morning as we had a long day of travel. Its in an extremely central place within the city. Good for taking the trains and shopping. However in the morning we could hear the announcer from the train station which woke us up. This hotel is very utilitarian. Dont expect any extras for free.

Great week in central Glasgow
We had stayed at the hotel before and found it great value for a week in a central location. Our large 4th floor room with big bathroom looked over the centre of the square (we had requested a front room). Only minor points - kippers advertised for breakfast one day resulted in one small kipper fillet - not the large fish I was expecting. On 2 occasions only one set of towels was left in the bathroom but another set was brought up within 5 minutes of speaking to Reception. Bar staff very friendly and remembered us as we had a drink (s) to end each day off. We will come back

Pre-booking lands you a Low Priority Customer
I booked through here and when I arrived at the hotel they weren't interested in accommodating my request for two Twin beds. This broker guarantees "double bed or twin beds." Which is a big difference if you're traveling with someone you don't share a bed with. The hotel gave me a very small double bed (not even a queen) and claimed the hotel was sold out and there were no twin bed rooms available. If you're prepaid, the hotel doesn't care about your business.

Not a 4star hotel
At an excellent location, that everyone can see whether living or visiting Glasgow, one could expect alot more from a 4star hotel (as they say). There are definetely better choices over there with better value. Would not recommend

good location
My friend and I had a recent 3 night stay. The room we had was on the 4th floor with a view facing George Square which was fantastic. The room, although comfortable was quite jaded. the wallpaper on our ceiling was coming away and the wallpaper had seen better days. The bathroom, although quite big and bright had virtually no water pressure which made showering and hair washing a very looooong and tedious process. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again but not in the same room

Good location to train stations and shopping
Was a little disappointed to see hotel based on pictures presented on line, much more darker area but right in St George Square , near train and shopping. Staff working hard to do right and help guests. Glasgow being a dark city and weather cloudy, I would go back again but would consider more 3.5 hotel rather than a 4.

Great City Hotel
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It would be good if there were breakfast deals, the hotel rates are a bit unfriendly. Great location in the city centre and yet the hotel was quiet. Now that the hotel in Central Station has been 'modernised', the Millennium retains its old world charm and some character.
