Hilton Leeds City hotel

Room fine. Had some urgent work to complete and the only internet access in the whole hotel was through an unsecured BTopenzone network that cost £14.99 per 24 hours, absolutely day light robbery. The internet was unbelievably slow and every upload and download took ages. Breakfast was well laid out and displayed but everything had been cooked some time before and was very tired in the buffet. Not sure I like the policy of only having mugs at breakfast, I am sure it makes it easier for the hotel but I quite like being able to put my teaspoon in a saucer and not on the table top. I also found the tables extremely small as I like to read at mealtimes when I am on my own and this could not be done as the place settings filled the whole table space.. I was disappointed that having hung my towel up in the bathroom that it was replaced with a new one, Even the most fussy traveller is happy to use the same towel for a 2 night stay

excellent value, friendly staff, fab breakfast but as with most hotels, poor room lighting !

Have stayed in the Hilton twice as its very convenient both to the station and for shopping. First time we had a beautiful room - this time while the room was adequate it was much smaller. The reception is on the first floor which does not give a great impression of the hotel when you enter on the ground floor. However, the hotel is really central and we found it adequate for our needs

just got back from a weekend at the hilton leeds city hotel. The room was average but was very noisey has we was right on top of the air conditioning generators and they was so noisey we could not sleep for both nights, when i complained they just have up ear plugs, thats right ear plugs at a hilton hotel. Im not saying all the rooms are noisey just the ones at the back of the hotel, which i guess is half of them. And way great location though... Enjoy your stay.

Easily walked to the train depot for travel to York (and numerous other destinations) and many other attractions within walking distance.

Excellent hotel for the price. The location is very convenient and the staff very helpful. The only negative point is that there is no mini bar in the room, therefore I was unable to refrigerate my insulin. Apart from that I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Leeds.

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Superb location. Staff friendly and helpful. Will come back.

I stayed here expecting the quality that the Hilton name cairies. I was very dissappointed to see that the rooms were very basic and no different to the budget hotels - except the price. The bathroom was small with mould on the walls around the bath, the shower was a power shower that blew all the curtains out of the shower and on to the floor. The room was like a sauna and if you opened the window you had the noise of the streets, if you put the air conditioning on it was as loud as someone revving a car in the room all night. The corridors areas were all very similar and dirty. Not a pleasant stay and comfort was not on the cards. As the bar you had to wait 10 minutes for someone to appear to serve you a drink which again was not expected.
