In the heart of the citys cultural quarter, Hope Street Hotel is ideally located between Liverpools two cathedrals, across the road from the Philharmomic concert hall and surrounded by theatres and restaurants. Built in 1860, in the style of a Venetian palazzo , Hope Street is a privately owned Design Hotel, passionately run with thoughtful service and comfortable, contemporary interiors.

The hotels 89 individually designed rooms have real wood floors warmed by under floor heating as well as king sized beds draped in Egyptian cotton. There are LCD widescreen TVs, DVD and CD players, along with unmetered broadband access in every room. Rain-dance showerheads the size of dinner plates, huge soft towels and mist free mirrors complement timeless bathrooms. Picture windows and skylights capture some of the stunning architecture that fills the city, offering views that include the river, world heritage skyline and cathedrals. In 2009 the hotel expanded into space next door creating a striking glass and limestone frontage and a stunning new facade on Hope Street. In December 2003 Hope Street Hotel opened the doors to The London Carriage Works. Since then, the restaurant has enjoyed rave reviews and critical acclaim. It has been described as Liverpools best quality dining and voted one of the top ten restaurants outside London in the Hardens Guide. The insistence of quality with a strong emphasis on the use of local, organic and fresh seasonal produce, has seen the restaurants tables become some of the most sought after in the North West. Alongside the restaurant, there is a convivial space for kicking back and catching up over a pre-dinner drink or relaxing with a night cap.

Close to cathedrals and philharmonic

Right across the street from Philharmonic Hall - got a great ticket to an enjoyable concert. Expected a vintage hotel in an old Georgian building - but got a very modern room behind a lovely historic facade. The only downside was extremey slow service at the restaurant even though they considered it a "pre-theater" seating. (Others around me didn't seem to be experiencing the same problem.)

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

I really liked this hotel - but it is not close to shopping or nightlife.

One of the better hotels ive stayed

One of the better hotels ive stayed in recently. Good value for money and good friendly service. Rooms were lovely as was the food. The internet was down which was a problem as I booked with this as an important facility. If the standard and prices remain the same I will stay here again for my next stay in Liverpool.

Hope St Hotel

Great location. The hotel has two beautiful cathedrals within a 2 minute walk. And a very easy downhill walk to the city center with plenty of sights to see along the way. The staff at the hotel was amazing, taking every chance to make your stay even better. Clean, modern, and ample space to relax.
