The Grand Hotel is a splendid Victorian building surrounded by magnificent views over the bay of Llandudno. The warm atmosphere is welcoming and there is no doubt you will find a home from home here. All 168 bedrooms with their classic style are comfortable and well equipped with a television (including some satellite channels) as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Some bedrooms at this hotel boast impressive sea views. There are a number of bars; the Grand Ballroom caters for different acts each evening, the Langtry's is a summer venue which hosts all the LIVE entertainment with Cabaret shows nightly, whilst the Connaught bar is perhaps the more relaxed with karaoke entertainment on offer. In addition to these, there is a games room with a full-size snooker table and leather sofas. For our business guests, we offer conferencing facilities and free WIFI throughout all public areas of the hotel. Please Note: The Hotel does not accept pets with the exception of guide dogs. Please Note: In line with other Hotel chains as of the 30th September 2010 all credit/debit cards used to settle accounts at all hotels will have a 2GBP admin charge added.

Let the Truth be Told

-Paid $120USA night and regret not spending more to stay elsewhere.. -Hotel is very old and in need of serious upgrades -Hotel is located on water front-however this is not by no means a beach front. There is no beach area along the shore only rocks..No place to lay on beach or swim -Only a pier with a few souvenier stores, kiddie rides and ice cream shop. -Our standard double room was very small and outdated -Rooms DO NOT have telephone, room service, mini bar, small tv on wall. Only shampoo/gel available in room. -Floors are squeaky and hotel has nothing to offer to be considered "grand". Maybe in the early 1900's. -English Breakfast was free but food was of poor quality -Elevators not working on 5th floor and we had to climb the stairs -Hotel needs MAJOR work!!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

-Shopping area and restaurants approx. 400 meters away. Not much going on in the town after 5pm. Everything closes down except a few restaurants and bars. Not a destination for teenagers..Very boring and the majority of travelers are elderly. This is a place for retired couples who aren't looking for any entertainment or activites to participate in.We could believe that this place was considered a major resort town..Maybe by Wales standards!

Hotel is right on the front ov

Hotel is right on the front over-looking the pier. We had a superior room with a great view, but right above the dancehall, despite asking for a quiet room. Also beware - no parking facilities at the hotel - had to park 10 mins walk away as it was a Bank holiday weekend. Lots of coach parties, so not really the place to eat at night, but the town is on the door step. Breakfast was quite good.
