La chambre était situé dans ce qu'ils appelaient "the garden" (le jardin). En réalité, il s'agissait d'un petit studio indépendant derrière l'hotel. La seule "verdure" que nous ayont vu, c'est la mauvaise herbe poussant entre les dalles de béton, parmi un vélo rouillé, un toilette brisé, et un jeu de batteries de voiture (vide, nous supposions). Il n'y avait pas de chauffage (en plein mois d'octobre : 0 à 10°), pas d'eau chaude dans la douche, la propreté laissait largement à désirer. La seule fenêtre se trouvait au-dessus de la porte d'entrée : une ridicule petite mansarde qui ne s'ouvrait pas. Seul point positif : les drap et les serviettes étaient propres et sentaient bon.

A strong, bold, enchanting place, this Hotel is ideal for a relaxing break, while enjoying a cosmopolitan atmosphere on the edge of one of the world's greatest cities. Hendon Hall originated as a 16th century mansion and was converted to a Hotel in 1911. Set in north London, the hotel is easily accessible from central London and both the A1 and M1. The hotel became particularly famous in 1966, as the host hotel where the England team stayed during their victorious world cup campaign. The hotel offers 57 bedrooms, culminating in a mixture of classic and executive bedrooms and junior suites. Junior suite very comfortable, available with four-poster bed. Service attentive. Limited menu in restaurant, but excellent quality. Breakfast is excellent. Not a cheap place, but great for that special occasion, with easy access to central London or by road to nearby shopping and attractions.

Staff very helpful and friendly. We are just a couple of goofs getting lost most of the time. The people they have working there are professional but at the same time friendly and very helpful. We never were treated like the goofs that we are, and you can't say that about everyone in London. We were about a mile away from the Underground which is how we got around but the bus stop was much closer which is an option. The walk to the Underground was about a 15 minute walk. We had a good time. The hotel was clean. It had alot of history and charm. I would totally recommend this hotel to someone.

Two bus routes connect quickly to the tube, with the closest station being Chalk Farm, though Swiss Cottage Station is also nearby. The hotel attracts a lot of bus tour groups, and the bar was sometimes a lively mix of customers in the evenings. Breakfast buffet is an option, and my room had tea-making facilities. Good bed, tiny shower and toilet room. Not especially quiet rooms, though comfortable. Would stay again.

Everything was on par with what I expect from a Marriott hotel. The rooms were nice and the bathroom was excellent. The exterior of the building was a little old and ion need of updating but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The location was excellent. We were close to enough to central London to sight see but for enough away to experience places away from the tourist areas. It was also close to a train station so we were able to experience riding the undergound. The hotel staff was great. They took the time to answer any and all questions. The ability to exchange currency onsite was helpful. My only complaint is breakfast should be included with the room rate.

horrible deception!! 107 pounds la nuit pr une piece sans fenetre, deux lits aux draps sales pleins de traces et de poils envahis par les fourmis, tt petits espaces, meubles bricolés avec 4 planches en guise de cuisine ( "apart hotel" me fait rire!!) quelle honte! sans parler du placard a balai sale qui sert de salle de bain plus WC!! c franchement une honte! ampoules sans lustres, petites ouvertures cachées par des tissus punaisés au mur.. enfin, je passe les details!! DO NOT GOT THERE!!!!!

It was nice having a clean comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. The staff was helpful and friendly and answered any questions I had. It's in walking distance of the tube station and a short train ride from major attractions. Tesco's is a block away which was nice. Will stay here again when we get back to London.

Our hotel has recently been renovated with all the modern facilities you could ask for, with Central London just a short distance away (15 minutes away in fact!). What's more, our location is right next to the M1 and A1 (the main road into London from the North) for easy access and convenient commuting! We are ten minutes' walk from Brent Cross shopping centre, Golders Green tube station, and Cricklewood main line station too. If you are looking for the ideal function venue, our largest (of three) rooms seats 300 at the drop of a hat. And speaking of hats, we love hosting weddings too! Please note: Building works on a new wing has started and is due to finish July 2012. Noise and disruption will be kept to a minimum. The Function Suite and rear car park are closed due to refurbishment until end of June 2012.

All good except the location - right on the busy Hendon Way. I like to open windows but windows were sealed, and anyway, it would have been very noisy. I really didn't like the look of the menu so never ate at the hotel. Nothing much around so you've got to go over to GoldersGreen - 1 mile away. However, lovely big room, very clean and the staff were cheerful and helpful. However, I wouldn't choose it again.

très bon hôtel nous sommes arrivé avant 14h00 pas de problème pour la prise de la chambre et le jour de notre départ l'hôtel a gardé nos baguages toute la matinée le temps de faire un dernier tour des boutiques. chambre familiale propre et très bien équipée. petit déjeuner copieux choix varié au buffet personnel agréable très bonne situation proche station de métro °camdem town " moins de 5 min à pied quartier dynamique restaurations à proximité de l’hôtel

1st visit to London

This was my family's first vist to London, we arrivied at the hotel at 10 30....when check in is at 3...but they seen how tired we were from 14 hrs of traveling and was able to but us in a room rite away.. The room is wonderful!! Top of the line every thing...I was a lil worried since London has so many visitors...I didn't know how well the room and the furniture would be kept up...but every thing was clean and sleek. The lil balcony was perfect to see the views and to let fresh air in...which u usually don't get in a hotel room...the washer dyer combo took a ll awhile to figure out but it beats paying dry cleaners. What was the icing on the cake was that they had a lil mini market to building up..and 8 restaurant to chose from on the very same street...also the underground is only 2 blks up...which works out great, when don't get back from all the touring Round until 10 30 p.m...and need to stop to get a lil snack.... I was a lil worried when I looked at a city map and saw that it was a lil out from the center of the city..but with the underground you only have to ride 5 more stops which takes 15 minutes..and it was nice to get away from the crazy London traffic...I.m differently coming back to this hotel, when I come back next year with my girlfriends....the only complaint is the shower...it's a bit steep getting in and out but it does include a deep tub,that's why...but for a elderly person...it would be a bit dangerous..

All right. You get what you pay for. This was the cheapest hotel I could book (1 person) on short notice; € 99 for two nights with breakfast. For this price you have to give up some of the luxuries :-) Good location - few minutes’ walk to the Golders Green tube station on the Northern Line, or there is a bus stop closer. Staff... there is nothing to say about them. There has to be someone to hand the key-card and that's it... (When I arrived I almost apologised that I disturbed the gentleman in his chat/ daydreaming or whatever he did standing at the reception; do not expect much of friendliness) Amenities: almost none, a night club adjacent to the hotel. I did not visit and I guess not many guests do. The hotel does not feature a bar; do not expect a minibar or fridge in your room for this money... There will be the usual kettle, cups, tea and coffee in your room. The wooden stairs and flooring creak as people come to the hotel in the night and heavier footsteps sound like drums :-) It is typical and not an issue, more so that none tells to guests arriving at 03.00 in the night not to run up and down or slam the doors. Lack of staff or lack of their enthusiasm to work? :-) That’s all. Have earplugs with you and do not expect too much ... proper value for the low price.

First of all the rooms have very thin walls. You could hear everything. No free wifi which could add to the cost. Breakfast was free but very limited selection. Other than that the room served it's purpose. I was out by 7:30am and came back at 12pm

A different but good location, quite near the Swiss Cottage tube station on the Jubilee Line, but on a quiet street. At two stops north of Baker Street, it's as easy to get to central London as from, say, Earl's Court. Adequate restaurants and services nearby on Finchley Road. My single room (and another I saw) were a little larger and more interesting than the minimal ones at some English hotels. Pleasant and helpful staff behind the desk. Only real drawbacks were a) the lift was broken all week and b) breakfast was not included, and was pricey for a buffet (more reasonable for an English breakfast). I got breakfast at the Dell'Aziz by the library (organic sort of place -- try the muesli and yogurt) and the Cafe Caesar on Finchley Road.

Excellent choice for Finchley road area

We wanted a hotel in the Finchley Road part of London (so that we could visit family in that area). My wife and I picked the Langorf over the Holiday Inn (too expensive) and the Quality Inn (uncertain quality) that are in the same general area. The Langorf is an old residential home converted into a Hotel, yet it features nice sized rooms w/attached bathrooms, good water pressure, in-room coffee, TV). The room was a comfortable size for the two of us, and the staff do a great job in keeping it clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite (as the Hotel is a block or two away from the traffic of busy Finchley Road). Breakfast was very satisfactory (standard continental, but good, fresh selections). The Hotel includes a lift so we could get out luggage to our rooms without too much trouble (we were in room 307), but we did have to haul them up the four or so steps in front of the Hotel. I recommend this place as a good value for this location. The Finchley Road tube station is 5 mins away, the O2 Center (with movies, restaurants, stores) is 3 mins away.

stayed there the night that I went to see a gig at the Roundhouse - and for that the location literally just across the road is absolutely unbeatable. It's also good for the Camden markets hustle and bustle, and the underground station round the corner links the place to the rest of London. It's a cheap deal for London - and you get what you pay for in this context, i.e. not much beyond a place to crash safely. Internet didn't work, facilities are sparse (but just about sufficient), the room small and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. But OK for a night or two if you don't mind making do with just basic comfort.

Recently refurbished so feels fresh and clean. Breakfast is basic. Reception staff on arrival gave impression that we were a nuisance! Location is not so good - a good 10-15 mins walk to Kentish Town tube and not much to do in the area - so unless you really need to be in that location, there are other more central hotels for similar price.

Trop loin du centre-ville (30 à 45 mn en bus) mais très bien situé par rapport à l'arrêt du bus (lignes 29 ou 253 arrêt Torranian Avenue). La qualité du ménage laisse à désirer malgré les remarques à la réception (poussière pas ou mal faite, dessous des lits pas nettoyés). J'ai également demandé des oreillers supplémentaires, je les attends toujours... A part une exception à la réception, le personnel est serviable et accueillant. Lors d'un prochain séjour, je choisirai un hôtel plus proche du centre pour perdre moins de temps dans les transports.
