A beautiful, comfortable and luxurious escape!
I have stayed in the Ashburn Hotel on three separate occasions. It is the best hotel that I have visited in London, beautiful, welcoming and comfortable and affordable. Cleanliness is outstanding, along with the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Special touches such as the complimentary toiletries, champagne at cocktail hour and breakfast in the charming restaurant make the hotel unique. I will always feel pampered each and every time that I am lucky enough to return to this boutique hotel.

Fantastic Hotel
Hotel is great. Short walk about a block to the tube station which will you have in the center of things quickly. Daytime staff is extremely helpful. Concierge was great help to us. He was able to book some tours for us and provide all the directions and info that we needed. He's a definite gem. Busy street outside but never heard it in our room. Housekeeping left a little gift every day. Breakfast was adequate. Would definitely stay there again.

a fraud
This hotel is a complete sham. The front desk had all the charm of a methodone clinic. The bellman was rude. The room was not ready when we arrived mid afternoon and the staff was unable to articulate when a room might be ready. My advice: avoid this hotel at all costs.

Wonderful hotel
- appreciated the little gift we received every night in the hotel room - enjoyed the free champagne from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. nightly - found the free breakfast adequate and filling - loved the free internet - had access to the Tube just around the corner from the hotel - was definitely worth the money.

Satisfied in LA
Satisfied from LA
Spent one week in London sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was a real plus. The hotel was located just a block away from the Gloucester Station on the Piccadilly Line and made it convenient to get to anywhere in London. Located in Kensington, the neighborhood was truly upscale and made for pleasant evening walks. Would stay there again if in London.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you don't have too much luggage, take the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to the Gloucester Station for only 4 pounds. The station is about a block from the hotel. The Oyster Card worked out well for us. There are markets and reasonably priced restaurants close by. If you like kabobs, try the Bosphorus a short walk away on Old Brompton Rd. I think it was in the 100 Block.

Price, Location and Quality
This is a beautiful cozy hotel, located in a quiet section of London. Easy access to the Metro and numerous moderately priced restaurants. A jewel!

Short walk from hotel
We found a magnificent Italian resturant a short walk away. Il Borgio. Walk down to the Glouster Street station, turn left and walk several blocks. Look for the big neon sign "Italian Resturant" on the right. It is just beyond another Italian resturant on the corner that advertises that Lady Diana ate pizza there.

Good location, above average hotel
The Ashburn is well-located, with good access to the Tube and many dining options and attractions within walking distance. The staff is not well trained and not very friendly. The room was very small and needed new carpeting, but it was also very quiet -- double-paned windows helped reduce the noise from busy Cromwell Road. The breakfast room in the basement is small and the breakfast buffet just adequate. In all, an acceptable small hotel, but nothing special.

We stayed three nights at the Ashburn Hotel after arriving from Paris. We had a large king suite in Paris at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe. The bed appeared to be a queen and not a king. I called the desk and they indicated the room was a king room. Rooms are small in London. The room was clean. The linens were nice. The concierge was very helpful. Our room included breakfast. The breakfast is the worst I have had in several trips to Europe.

Charming Hotel
I add this hotel to my list of charming hotels in London. Excellent location -- right near the Gloucester Rd tube stop. Nice surrounding neighborhoods with good local restaurants and pubs. Our room was on the 1st floor in the back of the hotel -- not much view but it was very quiet. Air conditioning worked great, there was free wireless service, and a big flat screen TV on the wall. Absolute best part was the heated ceramic tile floor in the bathroom. Room was a very nice size. Special thanks to Steven, one of the concierges. He was very helpful in arranging tickets, advising on the neighborhood restaurants, and telling us shortcuts to get somewhere. Great value in terms of what you pay and what you get. Also, nice touch on the small gifts left in the room every night, the toiletries (always well stocked -- kudos to housekeeping). Continental breakfast very good. Staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. There's no exercise room in the hotel -- but the surrounding neighborhood is really nice for a run or a walk. Close enough to walk to Hyde Park.

Very convienient and pleasant
The experience we had with the hotel and staff was excellent. Stephen, the concierge, was alway willing to assist us and made arrangements for tours and transportaion, even before we arrived. The rooms were spacious enough and very clean. The windows were very good and the rooms were quiet and cool. The location was very convienent to the Underground and walking distance to museums, the park and Harrods. Greatly recommended for couples.
