Astons Apartments

Studio flat was on top floor with no lift (website does not explicitly say there are no lifts) but this was 60+ steps to the top floor. When I remarked on it, I was told I had not specified a lower floor (website also did not mention how many floors there were although photo shows 4 floors. Who knew the top floor was rental space and not ''attic''? I don't mind small and the kitchenette was fine. Fridge was larger than mini-bar types, so it held a full sized bottle of wine no problem. Bathroom was missing a toilet paper holder and no soap dish in the shower. During a heavy rain storm, the ceiling leaked, though only onto the top of the closet, not anyplace else. If I'd been on a lower floor, this would have been a good place to recommend, assuming the details lacking in my room are not widespread and assuming they fix the leaky roof.

This was an apartment building converted to a hotel, so the shower and bathroom over all were tiny and makeshift, making it a tad uncomfortable to use. The rest of the room was adequate and clean, as far as I could tell. Pretty good for a cheap place--just set your expectations accordingly. Wifi was 6 GBP/day extra, or you could use the computers at reception for free I think (not sure, didn't try). About two blocks away is the Gloucester Road subway stop, where you can take the Picadilly Line straight to/from Heathrow Airport--that was kind of nice.

Location is great. Room has a kitchenette which is convenient. The bed was very uncomfortable - felt every spring! The bathroom was also pretty odd.. Plastic floor where the shower floor and rest of the bathroom floor was separated by a tiny ledge. Staff was very friendly, room was fairly priced, and wireless was also cheaper than other hotels we stayed at.

We chose this one for the location and pricing, but we're disappointed by the dullness of the room decor, i.e., lack of decor and liveliness. We were also disappointed by the poor supply of bathroom essentials: only two tiny bars of soap, two bath towels and one hand towel all of low quality and very much used. No elevator. It was a very depressing experience, despite the location itself. After one night there we switched to the Milennium Bailey's Hotel right across from the Gloucester Road Underground Station for two additional nights and had a fabulous stay there!

My mom and I had a lovely stay at the Astons, the staff was kind and the room was neat and clean. Just a short walk from the Gloucester Road tube station, it is very convienient. It was also nice and quiet!

Single room is small but perfectly designed with an amazingly complete kitchen. Clean, quiet and very well located.

This is nice place to stay at London. Conveniently located, 7 min walk from Gloucenter underground station, several stops from city center. Supermarkets and restaurants are around and next to underground. You can easily quick cook taking advantage of the efficiency of the room. In addition, it is very quiet place with friendly staff. The rates are reasonable for city of London

Got there at 7:30 pm, checked in immediately and got rooms. Small rooms and small en suite bathrooms but is perfect if you don't plan on hanging out in your room. Great price for a good location with non-communal bathrooms. Super Comfortable Beds!

Wonderful location near Piccadilly Tube line for both Heathrow terminal and St. Pancras station. Room was comfortable, warm with good hot shower. Kitchenette perfect for preparing drinks/snacks but didn't have opportunity to try either the stove or microwave. Toilet/shower combo unit was compact as was expected. Double room is utilitarian, small & boxy with high ceiling. Flat screen TV. Good value, staff & housekeeping friendly & capable. I look forward to staying here again!
