Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The Underground (Tube) subway (rail) is located across the street (Gloucester Station). It was very convenient and inexpensive to travel as the hotel is in Zone 1 and you can get an All-Day pass on the Underground to all of Londons attractions.

London Layaway

We were one block from the tube, Piccadilly line. Could walk to many of the great sites, along with Harrods, Hyde park, Piccadilly Circus, men's shops! What the hotel didn't have was much room, the full size bed was comfortable but took up the entire room. The saving grace was a nice balcony/deck that we were able to sit and relax on. And we had nice weather to do so!

Good Value, Great Location

Very convenient location. Across the street from the Gloucester Road tube station, several restaurants, and a grocery store. A few blocks from the Natural History Museum and Hyde Park. We had a room on the back side of the building so it was nice and quite. The room was small but adequate and we had a little balcony which was an unexpected bonus. The room seemed recently updated. We were surprised at the quality of the room for the price. We would stay here again.

Great Choice!!

I was a little worried initially, but I had nothing to worry about. The hotel is literally right around the corner from a busy train station, and in a part of town where fast food, money exchange and quiet restaurants are all around. DIRECTLY across the street is one of the cheapest supermarkets i have ever seen with amazing food!! Unfortunately the hotel does not have a refrigerator or microwave so we could only purchase food that wouldnt go bad or that we planned on eating that evening. The staff were very helpfully and friendly, always ready with a cheery good morning or good night. The room was initially a bit small for my taste but to compensate we had an adorable little patio that completely made me forget about the size. We only asked for them to clean our room 3 times during our 7 day stay due to us sleeping in, but the job done was impeccable and by the 2nd time the maid even knew whose pajamas went where! Overall it was fantastic and was an amazing home for us for 7 days.

Hotel was nice and clean. The room was small. The staff was very helpful. The continental breakfast was relative expensive in relation to the quality, not 'value for money'. Location was perfect close to the underground station.

EXCELLENT FOR PRICE AND LOCATION

This was my 2nd stay at this holel. It was chosen because of it convience to the tube, and good neighborhood location, a know chain hotel, and nice, clean and secure, with a friendly staff.wifi was complimentary.Room call had a surcharge even if using an 800 number.Tried to make a collect call to the US and staff said they did not know how, and then that it could not be donelIn general the staff was quited friendly, and tried to help, The room, while a quine size bed, I am glad I was only one. Nicely funrnished, but there is realy not room for two people to be in the room unless one is in the bed.Would return again[...]

Staff were excellent and the hotel

Staff were excellent and the hotel is in an excellent location, close to rail, shops and easy walk to Harrods etc. Had a pleasant view of gardens from room. Whilst small it was normal size for London rooms, and the furnishings etc were excellent. Would recommend it to others.
